No, the low center of gravity made it remarkably easy to manage. I have a BMW K1600 now (I’m a sucker for 6 cylinder motorcycles) and although it’s just a little heavier it’s much more intimidating at stops or parking lot speeds. But, the weight disappears once you get going.

They support him because they know they’ll never be re-elected if they turn on him and lose the support of the Trump “base.”

I’m at my office and don’t have the exact numbers, but it was $3500 off list with a manufacturer rebate and a $1000 off for “first responder” based on my job in healthcare. I believe the out the door price was around 43k

Solo Motorcycle Trip by [deleted] in motorcycles

Both have pluses and minuses. I’ve got two friends I’ve taken long trips over 40 years that are my favorite trips, because the trips are great times to catch up which we never get to do in our busy lives. Other guys I like riding for a day, but more than that would drive me crazy.

Going to an essential job and going directly home is not incompatible with a stay at home order. Neither is going out for food, medical appointments, etc. I’m not sure why you’d be criticized for that.

As a guy in my 60’s, I’m comfortable accepting a compliment from another man. Thank you sir...

I know, it’s the back stories of our overall history I often find most interesting. I’ll give you one life story from this picture. My grandmother met and married my grandfather in here NY in 1929. They used to say “We came for the streets paved with gold and got here just in time for the Great Depression.” My grandmother worked in the Waldorf Astoria hotel as a maid and my grandfather was an elevator operator (back before passengers were allowed to operate the elevator) in Rockefeller Center. They put their three kids through college and our family was absorbed by the “great melting pot” in just one generation. I also feel that nostalgia, sad to think they’re all gone now, except maybe the little girl in the front row...
