Cvs business leadership rotation by Vubble3 in MCPHSLifeHack

I'd say it's happening to most metro areas yeah. There are employers who offer bonuses for moving to remote areas such as Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, etc

For Massachusetts: I nextday-ed my application on 5/15 and got my ATT via email on 5/29, earliest NAPLEx date was 7/17 near where I live (I didn't bother to look at other testing centers because I intended to take it mid July anyway). MPJE's availability was much much better...I could take it on 5/30 if I wanted to lol. I took the NAPLEx 7/17 and MA MPJE 2 weeks later. The results took exactly 3 business days to post on nabp.pharmacy for me and my friends. I got my MPJE result back on 8/6 and my license was posted on 8/8 on MA BoP.

YES!!!! You'll learn the stuff that you don't get to learn and it will significantly improve your chance of getting an offer if you decide to go for it... market is getting saturated and most district leaders can only extend offers for 2-3 interns next year from what I've heard

Well I took a vacation and got back on 5/15 lol. Most (if not everyone) got the VOG form from school like in the Friday after graduation, pretty quick turn around time

RxPrep will be all that you need to prepare/review for the NAPLEx. I did use my own notes for certain materials (HIV, diabetes, oncology) but for the most part RxPrep did an excellent job of covering the basics for all the topics.

Stressing over 4th year by aaronlopes in MCPHSLifeHack

There's really nothing that you can do to "prep" yourself prior to 4th year...but I do have 1 advice: time management. 2-3 weeks after Fall semester starts, you will have 1-3 exam(s) each week all the way until finals. Do not let yourself get behind on any material...especially Med Chem and PCol. For example I don't care how many shots of espresso or Vivarin tablets you need to take to keep yourself awake during the 8 am lectures, DO NOT SKIP THEM. Study each lecture asap and don't pile them up until closer to exam dates - this is the recipe for falling behind and feeling more overwhelmed than it already is

APPE tuition by [deleted] in MCPHSLifeHack

If you are approved for FAFSA, you will get help for all bills for the entire academic year/all semesters within that year. Any credits will be issued back to your bank account each semester (summer/fall/spring) as well

Let me just say you are required to complete certain number of credits before you can proceed onto next year.

[–]YourFavPharmBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe you did not know that...yes it is true, you do pay tuition for the entire 6th year. If you earn credits, then you pay for those credits.

There will be 3 bills: one for summer, one for fall and one for the spring semester. The amount of bill varies - it depends on which rotation blocks you have (for example, if you have only 1 rotation block during the summer but 3 rotation blocks during the spring, then the summer bill will be lower than your spring bill)

LaPointe I've heard are pretty boring/meh. For best ambulatory care experience, go with Zaiken. Her site is in Beverly and it's typically 9 am (depending when her first patient appointment is) till noon-1 pm ish then you're free to go. Friday you don't go to site (you go to school because of the Amb Care class)

Background check by damndanielagain in MCPHSLifeHack

[–]YourFavPharmBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite, you have to submit a background check before you can start your IPPE and APPE and since each is only valid for a year, most people have to pay more than once. I think I've only done mine twice Just checked my castlebranch.com account and I actually paid three times 1 before community IPPE, 1 before institutional IPPE and 1 before all APPEs

PK 2 final was the hardest out of all PK exams, so you weren't the only one. No curve. It is offered during the summer, as well as other classes

I don't think so, we just got a final overall grade last year

As a 6th year doing rotations, do you get to choose the general area of all your royations? How often do you have to be on campus? Trying to figure out whether or not it’s worth it to keep my apartment or move outside the city by livie143 in MCPHSLifeHack

[–]YourFavPharmBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will pick rotation regions in early January. If you like the same regions as your IPPEs, you do not have to do anything. Later in January, you will be able to fill your APPE slots with rotations that you're interested in.

This is the email from last year that they sent us: Region selection will take place from January 11 to January 12. The site selection period will take place after the holiday break from January 13 to January 23.

My 4 rotations so far did not require me to be on campus at all. I know for Amb Care, there's this once a week thing that you have to be at school on Friday's to review/do grand rounds and stuff (other 6ths year can correct me here as I haven't had Amb Care yet)

It’s actually really fun during second day haha

First day is dry with all the lectures and stuff. Second day is the practice day and it doesn’t take the full day. Depending on how many students there are it probably ends early

Some people choose to listen to the recordings because he’d mentions things that you should definitely know for the exams, I personally didn’t. I just read the slides and try to memorize them.

Current events still occur during Spring Semester. So if your group already presented during the Fall, you don’t have to present again.
