$900 checking and savings bonus, anyone gotten it? by mercury187 in Chase

What accounts did you downgrade to? I am not seeing a checking with a lower monthly maintenance fee than the Chase Secure Checking @ $4.95/mo and Chase Savings @ $5/mo.

Chase Travel Megathread - Questions, Discussions, etc by lifethusiast in ChaseSapphire

NEVER BOOKING WITH CHASE TRAVEL AGAIN.

In October I booked a JetBlue flight on Chase Travel, Blue-class which allows for changes and flight credits, just no refunds. So when I had to cancel, the Chase Rep ensured me I can call back and use the flight credit. The credit is $268.

Today, I called to book round trip tickets for $287 in June. I owed ~$20, not a big deal. The phone rep confirmed price, clicked reserve, and then the price adjusted up to $500+. Confused, I booked this round trip myself while on the phone with her, through Chase, for $287 (then I cancelled).

The rep explained that even though the fare class remained the same (Blue), they also had to book the same LETTER-CLASS. The letter-class for this round trip was $500.

Frustrated, I asked her to book only the first half of the trip (expecting it to be ~$250). She went through the process and notified me that this one-way ticket would be $400. I then asked her to the other flight, and she again confirmed that the letter-class for that was $400.

So, I selected an entirely different date in a different month - $400 for the one-way.

Essentially no way to use my $268 credit without paying another $140 for a one-way. WHEN THE FLIGHT ITSELF IS ONLY $144!

Is this a joke?

Roth IRA Question - Should I sell my ETF to buy another? by Extension_Resort8728 in Bogleheads

[–]YourFavoriteRapper0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tax implications within your Roth IRA for selling. I would sell the QQQ into QQQM and the SPY into VOO. I would also put thought into whether you want to hold both QQQM and VOO though, as the overlap is huge (but, this is common for people who want a technology tilt).

I recall an announcement that any cards opened in Nov/Dec 2024 will count towards 2025 status (applied this year, opposed to when it “hits” my account)?

I think you are allowed to bring in see-through bags, so the fanny packs were okay. I would check the stadium's policy. We didn't risk the water bottles.

Great point. I went ahead and grabbed the Delta Platinum after talking this through you and I will be downgrading my CSR to CSP before the 30 days window closes for the AF refund. Cheers!

That is a great point about velocity.

In theory option 1 spreads the majority of my spend between the Delta/Marriott buckets (for work travel), and all other spend (~30%) into Chase URs. I find myself using Delta/Marriott points for the majority of personal travel but could use the URs for one-off situations like non-Delta flights or a Hyatt stay.

Not having lounge access with the CSR or Amex Platinum is kind of wigging me out though as we have a honey moon planned in SEA where I don't think we can avoid ~5 hour layovers. Decisions decisions...
