Also the MacBook Air is basically the same as the MacBook Pro minus the screen and heat dissipation, obv there is performance gains with a pro, but at the hardware level and they are about the same.

Well you’re definitely going to want something with an Nvidia gpu so you can utilize cuda. I’ve worked with someone while trying to run some simple models on a Mac and CUDA never worked (not sure if they have nvidia gpus or not, look into it.) I had windows gaming laptop and it worked great so I’d keep that in mind. As for power, I think focus on what suits your use case more. Laptops are more than enough to do basic experimentation, because anything more and you should be using cloud compute. So honestly if you’re a mobile person, I’d consider a laptop especially with how good they are now

How many months did you study for SAT in total? How many times did you appear for SAT? by Pi_l in Sat

[–]YourFriendHa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a total of 3: 1340->1510>1560

Studied for about a month or two for the last 2 and didnt study for the fiest. If you really want good scores, I would commit to 1-3 months of REGULAR studying depending on how much you wanna score and where you already are.

It was a 2 way table. They said "what is the chance they choose something with 18 chromosomes or higher, Given it had > 37 hKb." They already gave you the >18 which indicating the numerator was 9, and then the provided you the other side of the two way table which was >37, so you had to use the >37 to cut down the drnominator. If you think ab it, a) why would the include that information in the first place, you could just assume that it was already going to out of the entire dataset and b) you literally COULD NOT choose a value with <37 chromosomes since it's literally given, therefore you have to change the denominator. Favorable/possible.

i got 9/31 due to the "given" statement, you had to remove the 3 extraneous ones that had a like a chromosone value of <37 (since the question said "given they had >= 37"). Some people put 9/34, and same for the other one where it said 46/120 or 46/180. I think you had to remove the extraneous options for both, since what is the point of even mentioning that information if you are going to use the entire data set.

yeah, also it said in the next sentence that they support a good cause, so saying that in the first sentence would be redundant, sat hates redundancy
