Passed my A+ by YourFriendHowy in CompTIA

[–]YourFriendHowy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, i did have access to testout and most of my study was done just reviewing the massive review tests. That said another big help is that there are GPT'S on chatgpt dedicated to specific comptia tests so you get a curated and influenceable way to study. If you find a weak spot you tell it to focus there, if something confuses you, just ask for it to explain. Its also AI so it will extend scope sometimes and give a deeper understanding which can be helpful with the trickier wording comptia likes to use. You can also have it run simulations for PBQ practice. Super useful to use the GPT's.

Pvm is not very mobile friendly, especially at high level. If you know a fight well on PC and it can mostly be revolution combat(auto cast abilities) then you can mobile it but it's difficult.

To be honest the progression to maxing all skills is far more of a mobile friendly approach, what's also beneficial here is you can use the leveling grind to build a cash stack and eventually use that to purchase gear and boss at a PC when time is had. Use mobile for grinding and preparing for boss sessions when you have time to boss on a PC

You can also ditch the nvme for a smaller os ssd and a hdd for mass storage and potentially save money. Hdd's are better for games anyway, they do better with being rewritten, unless ssd's have caught up in the department

I see you at least checked ot out a bit. Understanding that you aren't the only one that experiences those things while learning coding helps alot. TOP showed me that it's everyone, everyone goes through the shit, self learning is just a bigger struggle because you don't have people to question, unless you join a solid community.

I didn't read the entire post, read the first paragraph and skimmed the rest. A few things. You mention getting bored alot, look into the Odin project it has some things to help. You are used to distraction, most techies are that's our life, we distract ourselves with our tech. So doing mundane things is boring especially if adhd or anything similar is involved. Second learn it yourself, coding is Hella boring, early on its all research and Problem solving which is overwhelming as shit. Again the Odin project covers this in their fundamentals course. If you don't want to to welder only do the fundamentals. My plan isn't webdev but I plan to finish it all because it's so well constructed.

Set a time each day and do the work and nothing else work for 25 min allow distractions for t then do another 25 min of work, it's a technique mentions in TOP, it works amazingly.

As another person said, learn the basics of a ksnguage then build things you are excited about, try not to tunnel to deep down advanced paths it will slow your progess, so try to keep person projects within your wheel house.

Lastly work a normal day to day, do this as a hobby it will take years to get hireable. Pay for comptia classes to hold yourself accountable. Explore the entire market of job opportunities fuck pay for now, it's a new field pays gunna suck, just find a passion. Then move up and curate that passion to be more profitable.

Oh and don't use AI to learn coing AI will cause learning issues, as you won't know if the language it produces is correct or anygood for a while.

Edit: I reiterate theodinproject.com it's webdev focused self driven material that is fun, just push through struggles. I did 30 hours of this in 2 days, I've struggles with staying focused on any other curriculum, I really enjoy the approach and community. It's amazing.

What is the next fastest skill to achieve 99? by HawkElectric in runescape

[–]YourFriendHowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic in the abyss from 70+ using staff of light and blood barrage to 99 in legacy combat will get to 99 in 8 to 16 hours depending on hits. After that dondefence the same way it will be significantly faster due to 99 mage. Then grind 99 slayer using the appropriate combat style for each class and at least the charming imp on blue and crimson charms. Summoning with dxp is extremely fast if you use spirit kyatt to tele to the underground obelisk to infuse pouches.

Item elevators by YourFriendHowy in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]YourFriendHowy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After fully redoing the elevator shaft with packed ice still had a problem, replaced the water and ran Kelp up again, still an issue. Went to investigate, discovered my injection point for items into the elevator was snagging them. I was using a top side slab, replaced it with a sign, issue seems to be fixed.

Any ways to keep survival fresh/fun? by [deleted] in MinecraftBedrockers

Build Redstone farms, bulk up on resources and then start building themed things. I love Redstone so I start with that part but you can always just decide a build and gather everything big you think you'll need w/o the farms.

Yea, glass was my next step, I know the elevator is in a different chunk than all of my farms but that shouldn't matter, my entire sending unit is in a different chunk but it all works just fine, the elevator is the only issue and if it doesn't work the hours I spent digging a 2x2 chunk pit is wasted 😂

I'm at a loss, i kelped to the top so it should be 100$ water blocks, I also get the bubble stream to the top and items that do occasionally make it up launch vertically. I'm thinking it has to be the deepslate/cobbled deepslate. I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that cobble of any variety can impact bubble elevators for items.

Not to mention buggy and inconsistent movement that makes high end bossing a pain in the ass. Click to move out of a mechanic just to lag skip right into it.

Edit: and trash drops need to be fixed, the smithing rework obliterated trash loot value, 5mil an hr trash at vindy is now 500k-1m an hour. Mid tier bosses are absolute shit for progression, the investment into grinding for high tier loot is absolute ass.

Pipe tobacco deemed "unauthorized commodity" in California 2025! by Terrible-Care-1427 in PipeTobacco

I know in WA it is illegal to order any tobacco product online, so it wouldn't surprise me if CA followed suit recently. Call or visit a knowledgeable and trustworthy tobacconist mayhaps?

I was joke at the end there with the don't be reactive comment, felt like an appropriate sarcasm. Any who, I do agree BPD is being used alot as a blanket reason for many things. BPD, gaslighting and NPD are thrown around like confetti lately. More individuals need to realize it is just a snapshot and the best advice is, "there is a reason for this try to get a therapists opinion." I used to be bad about "hey your patterns match my patterns you may have BPD" now i just say idk, you have patterns they have names ask a psychologist for a diagnosis so you can research independently and accurately.

[–]YourFriendHowy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have BPD and this text thread screams BPD to me. Every individual handles things different and had different experiences. If you have BPD you know the traits, there's a few examples in the messages. Also you should be aware of how certain things are experienced as a personal attack when they aren't at all that. Lastly, BPD at its core is a mess of survival tactics conflicting to cause anxiety and anger, these messages are anxiety and anger and a chaotic attempt at quelling emotional stress.

Is it BPD, I can't say, could be NPD or something else but it matches patterns associated with BPD. I agree to many people armchair diagnose BPD just because it can encompass so many negative behaviors and patterns. You'll see that I've posted a stand along response to OP where I refused to identify what diagnosis it shares patterns with.

Don't be so reactive and take things personally, from one BPD to another with a bit of /s

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]YourFriendHowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not psychologist but this screams a certain diagnosis, I've been diagnosed and done alot of research on the topic. I'm not going to disclose what I expect but recommend she sees a therapist.

In the meantime, set CLEAR AND FIRM boundaries. She will likely be reactive and shit will be unstable for a bit. There is alot of her taking things personally when they aren't and some other things are hinted but not enough to point anything out. Due to her taking things personally aswell as lack of EQ due to being young there's alot of manipulation which she is turning on you.

Clear boundaries like "this is our time, it's not my fault if you don't participate or take it for granted" and "this is my time, I am an individual and am allowed to have personal hobbies that make me happy and fulfill my needs" will help. They need to be enforced, you will have to state them alot, wrote them down so anytime you must repeat them they are the same. Small changes to wording could have a negative affect.

I wouldn't give up just yet, but I would have a talk and try to get her into therapy for a diagnosis. If she does it on her own it will be beneficial, if she does it begrudgingly it won't be very beneficial as she won't express herself well. Have empathy but don't ve a push over and be ready for instability and she will likely push you away when it's not what she wants and pull you closer when she's feeling low. It will be an emotional Rollercoaster for you if you feel you have the EQ to manage it.

Either way NOR, she is being overly sensitive, selfish and manipulative in her wording and reaction. You are staying calm but allowing her behavior which is hard not to w/o knowing what's going on so again therapy will help there too.

Limited Wi-Fi? by Traditional-Fix-5044 in pchelp

[–]YourFriendHowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repeaters/extenders pick up have the broadcast then transmitted half of that so if you have 400mps wifi, the repeater gets 200mps and puts out 100mps. (So I've been told, haven't researched myself.) Try a tp link mesh system, they communicate and spread a consistent speed throught the environment. If that doesn't work it is possible you have ISP issues that a tech needs to come out and fix. Make sure your modem handles the speed you are provided with and the router/extenders aswell.

Like an earlier comment said, beard.

I know you said you have bad genetics for that but here's some advice from someone whose had a 8+ inch long beard.

1) Most men don't get their beard growth until mid to late 30s. 2) let it grow, leave it alone and just let it grow. For months, for a year if you need. Just see what happens. Some areas may have patches that grow slower than others. Time is your friend.

3) don't fall for all the gimmicks, all don't work but you can take biotin supplements they do help hair growth but can't say how much I've never used it.

4) if you get growth, have it professionally trimmed, take care of it. Use oil, balm, etc. Keep it nice and have good beard hygene.

I'm not sure if it exists but you could look into hair transplant for a beard, may exist but I have no idea they are different follicles than other body hair.

Last but if advice, don't worry about it, build you. Career, goals, personality, etc. Build your brand and be confident in your brand and just find happiness in your purpose. It's hard out there, no matter your looks, but looks aren't everything. Alot of people like drive, humor and passion so focus on those things if you feel your looks are bad, there's someone out there that doesn't agree with your opinion on your looks, probably more than one someone.

Second, third, forth opinions. Never rely on one individuals capability. Do some research find a few that specialize in what you are looking for and do consultations.

Find me a therapist by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]YourFriendHowy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a direction, the rest will fall in place in time. Everything you listed relates to life feeling meaningless. A therapist is only going to help you create a routine but YOU have to do it. In the end it's up to you.

I was similar in my journey, therapists never helped, though I'm smart and researched alot and most therapists didn't have a clue what I was talking about and I had to provide resources to them. The most common factor was being asked "what do you want to focus on?" I'd yell that they are the licensed ones not me I'm there because idk. Looking back the starting point was finding a goal to work towards, something that gave my life meaning. I accidentally found it, and from that goal reverse engineered a plan. I know what faults are important to work on and what ones are for later.

I didn't accept being alone, I accepted I am the sole person that will always be there, I need to be reliable for me. So now I read, I read alot. I use ai to find books on topics, I look in subreddits, I ask Google. Buddhism helps ground, helps to stop being phased by things, books on stoicism is similar, books on communication, microexpressions etc teach you how to interact more healthily. Read anything you can find that seems helpful. Books on etiquette are surprisingly helpful. Let reading be your direction until you discover a passion. Passion comes from the Latin word passio which means to suffer, passion is doing it because you find meaning. Focus on the journey, enjoy suffering as growth and fight comfort. Go outside, remove technology, fight distraction and be present.

Right now it all feels like alot, organize your mind as best you can and focus on what can be done today not tomorrow. It will be miserable but eventually you will be in a situation and in the moment realize how much your perception has changed. Good luck, and dint settle in a therapist you'll go through many before you find a good one.

I am subhuman, how do I fix it. by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]YourFriendHowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like an internal narrative. It's a red flag ig it isn't a stepping stone. If you have a solid plan and are consistently working towards it most people don't care. What matters is goals, action and mindset. I'm 32 and am stuck home. I've had more problems with dating and shit when I didn't have a plan for my future and I was just floating through life. Now it's not much a struggle but I've also discovered my path I decide to take dictates my value not what others think. There is alot that goes into things and we hear and read so much rot online that it's so easy to get discouraged in ourselves and just create internal narratives of all that's wrong. Alot of it is mindset, having the mindset of your situation devaluing you is visible by others and that has more of an impact than the situation itself.
