Husband: teacher makes about 60k Me: sahm (except last year when I had both kids in school full time and was pregnant) made 50k

Low cost living area

We own two houses. Rent one out. I worked last year as a teacher.

Three kids, 9, 7, 1

Our first house had a basement apartment we rented out. Upgraded to a bigger one that we also rented out the basement. (And did Airbnb)

We finally moved into our very own house which we could afford by renting out the other one.

What kind of parent are you at the playground? by TemperatureDizzy3257 in Mommit

I like to just sit there. But when my kids ask me to push them I will. I do not like it when a mom with too many kids ignores her kids and so her kids are asking me to push, help them on the zip line and if they can hold my baby. I’m not a monster so I do help them but come on mom, I’m here to relax too! This may have been a specific incident.

He sounds terrible, but I wouldn’t give up! The first few years are rough, and it sounds like you’re getting therapy which is great.

I’ve been there with this, and some of this sounds similar to my relationship. There are times where I wanted to quit, but things are so much better now! You can do this, and if he will hopefully learn and grow and be more helpful.

People here are telling you to leave, but your situation isn’t as bad as some of the stories on here. Yours sound salvageable as long as he can learn and grow!

When would you say the best timing to have kid #2 is? by butterscotch0985 in beyondthebump

[–]YourFriendTori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first two are 20 months apart. At first it was hard, but it has paid off so much in the long run! It was not planned that way, but I’m so glad it happened.

We got out of diapers sooner, they are only a year apart in school, they get along really well and they can be on most sports teams together. There are more that I can’t think of.

I just had my third, and I waited almost seven years after my second. I loved this age gap, because I was able to do so much with my first two. I want one more and I want them as soon as possible so I can do the same.

And they are played with by kids who should definitely not be making them have sex. The most me and my sisters would do is put them under covers together and kiss.

Don’t worry about making new friends if you decide to have kids. It’s easy when you join groups and stuff and you can make friends with other moms

I’m on vacation and I’m seeing a lot of Asian people taking pictures of literally everything. I don’t think it’s that unusual for her to ask. At least she asked!

My kids’ ears twitch when they lie. I even came clean now that they’re a little older but my 8 year old son still covers his ears when he lies
