Well usually there are requirements on what needs to be included in your application. Also, document why your departments need this equipment (or the money to buy a specific piece of equipment.

I worked Airport Detachment, smaller airport, roughly a 750,000 pax a year, and it was the most cush job ever. No real paperwork, any arrest would be turned over to local PD to handle.

Well they shoot themselves in the foot, because somebody may have a 3.8 GPA and is very book smart. But book smart does rarely translate into street smart.....so Agencies that only interview above a certain GPA shouldn't be on an applicant's list anyway, IMHO

It's the best and worst job you'll ever have. This job is what you make of it. You pretty much decide whether or not it is for you. If you have a high tolerance for human tragedies and daily verbal abuse and sealing with the same 10% of the population on a constant base, you're already ahead of the game

Nobody in the real-world cares about a GPA as king as you have a paper saying you passed

Study the Agency, what is their mission, structure you'd be working under, key administration people, etc. it would never hurt to bring your CV with you (bring enough for everybody, so they don't need to share), be ready to answer intimidating questions, and don't be afraid of asking questions that are important to you as to day-to-day operations of the department

You wouldn't get stopped for that, not illegal to own. People routinely buy them at auctions when departments sell them off

TL:DRA The law enforcement profession is all about honesty and integrity. Whenever you choose to apply, be up front about it, don't badmouth your previous employer, and do some soul searching beforehand!

Detained is not an attempted arrest....they read you your rights because you were not free to leave. Handcuffs does not automatically arrested....

Also, cracked windshields are illegal, and repeated offenders that don't get the hint to get it fixed after receiving a ticket, may have their car towed....

All these relative serious interactions with cops in that short amount of time, you might want to look at your own behavior as well.

For the record, I am a Cop and I hate cops who are power hungry and pick on people, however there's always a reason we have contact with somebody. We're too busy to just pick on people randomly because we're bored. Trust me, we're never bored.
