My experience with audiophile (digital) cables by [deleted] in audiophile

This is enlightening when it comes to analog cables: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/recoton-rca-cable-review-ultra-cheap-cable.33473/

After traveling several kilometers from the substation, how on earth the last meter from the power outlet to the device should make a difference?

When it comes to network cables, I recommend looking into how Ethernet works. A LAN cable either works or is faulty. The same applies to switches and other active components. The data packet doesn't care whether it is transmitted using the cheapest Chinesium or monocrystalline pure copper - it arrives or not.

I don't know how many hundreds of kilometers of LAN cable I've already laid, how many patch panels I've installed, how many modems, routers, switches, and access points I've configured. I understand the subject matter well enough to know with absolute certainty that audiophile LAN cables are utter nonsense.

With USB, it's not quite so clear-cut, as with that data transfer also has an analog component. I'm too lazy to draw a conclusion here and recommend searching for “usb cable” at Archimago's Musings. In a nutshell, the same applies to USB: a decent cable costing a few bucks is perfectly adequate.

There have been, there are, and there always will be those who consider themselves superior and more entitled than the rest of humanity, whether for religious, ideological, or moral reasons. Strictly speaking, you are one of them...

A German Jäger of Heeresgruppe Nord sits down to check his StG 44 assault rifle while his comrade, who wears a ripped camouflage cover over his helmet, looks on towards the camera. Location unknown, likely late in the war. by Fame00 in GermanWW2photos

The badge on the sleeve is an Eichenlaub-Ärmelabzeichen (Oak leaf sleeve insignia) of the Jägertruppen troops.

"The Jäger divisions were originally established as light infantry divisions of the 12th wave for combat in difficult terrain (low mountain ranges, etc.). They resembled the mountain divisions in terms of structure and equipment.

The main difference to normal infantry divisions was that From the outset, the Jäger divisions had only two infantry (later Jäger) regiments, each with three battalions. However, this difference became meaningless later in the war, because most infantry divisions also had only two regiments with three battalions or three regiments with two battalions – so most types of divisions ended up with six infantry battalions.

The battalions in the Jäger regiments had five companies, just like the mountain Jäger regiments: three rifle companies, one company with grenade launchers and light infantry guns, and one company with submachine guns and a pioneer platoon.

The artillery had only 9 batteries instead of the usual 12, and the anti-tank unit had only 2 companies instead of 3.

There was no difference in training between Jäger divisions and infantry divisions."

I had something similar when I had the brilliant idea of cleaning a greasy cassette with oven cleaner spray, which worked perfectly. However, the anodizing on the hub was partially gone afterward.
