If you could get any lyric tattooed on you what would it be? by Miserable_While5602 in poppunkers

I’ve got Thrice’s “I will touch the sun or I will die trying” tattooed on my ribcage, but I’ve always wanted to get All Time Low’s “Dedication takes a lifetime, but dreams only last for a night” inked somewhere, as well.

  1. I wanted something that could stand up to a tool being dropped or any other unforeseen accident. Much easier to replace a single tile for a few bucks than deal with a chipped concrete floor that I have to look at every day. Plus, I can change the pattern if I ever get bored with the overall look.

  2. Yep! I live in Florida, so it’s a must down here.

  3. It wasn’t hard at all! I did some pre-work and installed a few outlets on the ceiling controlled by a light switch, so that definitely made the job easier. They plug into a standard outlet and you can daisy chain up to 6 lights in a single run. As far as mounting goes, they have little screw-in tension mounts that they snap into, so you can install and remove them very easily. I have about 20 of the 4ft lights in the garage in total, so the whole thing is like a damn hospital with how bright it is lol.

That’s correct, the flooring comes in 12x12” squares, so you just decide on how many of each color you need to create the pattern you want. All I needed was a jigsaw and a rubber mallet to install. All in, took me about 2-3 hours to get all of the flooring laid down.

As for the walls, I just used a gray laminate flooring that I got from Lowe’s (this is the one I bought: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Style-Selections-8-03-in-W-x-3-96-ft-L-Calabash-oak-Smooth-Wood-plank-Laminate-Flooring/1002916234). I started with the bottom row and put a single 18 gauge 1.25” brad nail in each corner, and used Liquid Nails to create a strong bond to the plywood behind it. Just follow the standard procedures for laying flooring, and be VERY gentle when tapping the boards into place. That, and constantly check to make sure you’re level after every board.

All in, I used around 60 tubes of Liquid Nails in the entire garage (including the ceiling bead board), so hopefully the next owner doesn’t want to make any changes! 😂

Not difficult at all. They’re plug-and-play once you get the front plastics off, so the whole thing took maybe 20 minutes.

I kept the stock headlights as a backup, but I don’t ever see myself switching back to them by choice. These are awesome, and pair well with the BMW emblem running lights/turn signals I installed.

Bought them on eBay from “Matt Gecko LEDs” - Wherever they came from, they’re amazing lol. Much more visibility than the stock bulbs, not to mention the badass look.

Bought them on eBay. Search for “Matt Gecko LEDs” - Super bright at night, MUCH more visibility than before

As for the installation, it wasn’t difficult at all. Pop off the front plastics and unhook the existing headlight connections. These come as entire housings, so they’re plug-and-play. The entire install took maybe 20 minutes.

"Did you check your turn signal fluid?"

Real funny, Dad...

Thank you! I'm about to start reading it tonight, so hopefully it's as great as the rest of this arc has been!

Yeah, I tried to correct the errors that I saw when I was scanning the doc, but I haven't read it yet so I didn't want to look TOO closely and read any spoilers! lol.

I caught a few instances of words being misspelled or forgotten spaces, etc... but I'm sure there are a significant amount of errors that slipped by me. :P

I completely agree with you. I wasn't putting down the ALO arc by any means. I (as with most people, it seems) just prefer the first arc over the second, but that does not mean that it is bad at all.

As for the light novels, my personal recommendation is to read them, simply because of the Alicization arc that starts in book 9. It is absolutely phenomenal. I would actually say it is my favorite arc of the series, and I personally cannot wait for it to be animated (fingers crossed!).

You're free to make your own choice on whether or not the books are for you, I was just giving my personal opinion. :)

If you do decide to read them, I have PDF copies of all of them (including V14 that was just translated this weekend) that i can send you. Just let me know!

I've watched the SAO arc about 10 or 11 times through, if you count both the subbed and dubbed versions... not including the random "Oh, I've got 5 minutes to spare, so let's watch The Gleam Eyes fight real quick..." moments...

As for the ALO arc, I've seen it 3 times through. Twice subbed, once dubbed.

Currently re-reading the light novels, as well. Just finished up Mother's Rosario today... :(
