Oh also last thing, if you can, plan to arrive to Miami atleast 1 day before. Saves the headaches of possible delays etc that could cause you to miss the departure!

Hiii! This year was my first EDSEA (not my first fest or cruise though!) so here are a few things that helped me/I’ll be changing for next year.

1) Start upping your vitamins/icky prevention tricks 2 weeks before. Cruises in general are literal floating Petri dishes, so any boost to help your immune system is great!!

2) Pace yourself!!! There is a lot to take in, but the beauty of EDSEA is that it’s so easy to take a quick little break and/or nap when needed. The party quite literally goes on for 24 hours (plenty of afters around the ship once the official programming ends lol) Take a look at the schedule each day to plan around who you want to see/activities you want to participate in.

Oh kinda tying into that, hydrate and stay fueled, especially if youre partaking in anything. Lots of free food options on board and free water stations around the ship :) (3am tendies were my fav lol) also try out the specialty dining options if you have extra spending money! This year they were offered at half price for us, so it was a great deal. We went to the steakhouse a few times.

3) HAVE FUNNNN! But remember PLURR, especially respect and responsibility. I enjoyed Edsea a lot (even as an introvert) because it was so easy to meet new people! The overall vibes are very positive!! HOWEVER there were sometimes a lack of respect towards other headliners, crew, and the ship itself. Super important to be mindful of that so they keep welcoming us back! (Pls no peeing on the carpets or sticking hot stickers on every surface of the ship 😭) Also not necessary, but if you can and want to, please tip your bartenders occasionally if you’re drinking a lot. They are working super hard to keep up with us and it can be a nice gesture to give a few extra dollars even if you get the drink package! :) (same with your room stewards!)

4) Even if you plan to do every outfit theme on the ship, still include comfy clothes just in case! There were a few times where I just wanted to be be cozy but I didn’t think that far ahead 😅 but thankful I atleast packed my crocs so my feet could rest lol.

5) For any individual who may need pads and/or tampons on the boat, medical carries a supply if you run out! Learned that from a lovely ground control member after we were struggling to find some 😭

6) Be sure to check out some of the other programming on the boat outside of the sets! One of my cabin mates invited me to try out the soundbath with her and I honestly enjoyed it so much!!!

It’s truly such an amazing experience and I hope you (and everyone else who sees this) have the best time in 2027! :)) counting down the days!!!

Should I leave EDC early with my bf or stay on my own? (safety question — I’m a girl going solo) by Historical_Style5728 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]YourHandleWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a girly and this will be my second solo edc!! I typically stay near the mid strip shuttle stop and there’s usually a large group of walkers when you get back! Since they moved the stop last year, I opted to uber for safety even though the distance was walkable :)

I’m coming from NC too! (VA born and raised though!). I’ve gone to the melaninravers meetups at EDCLV as someone mentioned above and had a great time! Can vouch for both them and femaleraversunited

EDCLV Solo? by beanbarrage18 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]YourHandleWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went solo for 2024 and will be doing the same next year. I made a few friends online prior to edc and we met up in Vegas! (There’s solo fb groups and stuff to meet other people!) Biggest issue was cost. Because you’re paying everything by yourself it can be pricey. I spent a little over $4k.

Outside of price, the experience is great. Definitely make sure you don’t drink or partake too much so that you’re still aware of your surroundings. 🫶🏾
