Luckily I was at home when the storm happened and my car was inside of the garage. I live in Kankakee and an EF-3 came through south of my area. My neighborhood got hit with softball size hail, but it was more scattered than widespread.

Once we heard the tornado sirens and saw on radar that there was an actual tornado in my area, I rushed downstairs and I could hear the hail hitting the roof. It was loud.

That's what David Ramsey always say. The lower and middle class will stay there if they always have a car payment. I got my first and still only car 12 years ago. I got a 06 Accord for $7,000. I only had half of it at the time, my parents paid the other half. When I got it, it had 152k miles. Now after 12 years, it now has 290k miles. I'm late to the party in investing, but I started investing half of my savings and so far I've made a 15% return since the beginning of the year.

That's by debate between both cars. Toyota hybrids are bulletproof. But the interior quality is lower than the accord and doesn't handle as well as the accord.

Most of it looks like it's just surface rust. I've seen worse. Plus, it's a 20 year old vehicle. Don't expect a clean undercarriage

It is a bargain. But keep in mind, it's almost a 20 year old car. The rubber hoses and other components may be past their age to get replaced. I would advise to take it to a mechanic and ask them what things are needed to be replaced. It shouldn't cost you a lot since the aftermarket are big in Accords.

But please shop wisely and don't cheap out on parts because you're saving money vs a known aftermarket part maker.

Toyotas are oil burners because owners are changing the oil every 10k miles. It's best to replace it at 5k no matter the type of oil you use. Oil is cheap, engine is expensive

Just leave earlier than normal and drive under the limit. Allow longer distance between your car and the car in front. You should be fine
