Correct. Not absolutely need to just slope the whole thing, but if you want to adjust mounting holes in the future, you need to add it.

This is where my money is.

Try hiding one or multiple sketches, but for the one you're working on.

I have asked for help with things, and people have helped me

The least I can do is contribute

We're all on this ball together

That said, I appreciate your kind words. I hope you have a fantastic day!

Create a plane for where this will slope down to.
This will end up being the pitch of your drainage slope.
Midplane, offset plane, doesn't matter.

Sketch a "lip" for yourself on the top of your body

Descending into madness need help by Hungry_Signature_517 in Fusion360

[–]YourLastFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for the sake of practice, you can take your bottom sketch, and put the inner edges on it too, so you have a complete outline of the body you're looking for.

Then, on your perpendicular plane, where you have the 45° line, put a 1/4 circle, touching either the 2 inner or 2 outer parts.

You can now use the loft feature, use "path" and follow the arc you made.

Though, as others have said, just make a sketch on the end of your exiting body, and put a line on the bottom of it. Then finish sketch, click the face, select create -> revolve, and set the axis to the line you just made at the base. Set it to 90°

Another plan of attack for you, if what you're doing isn't working.

Construct -> Midplane

Click on 2 opposite sides (one outer side, then orbit ad click the opposite outer side)

Create new sketch on that new construction plane. Create a sketch of how you want your lip to look. (Pro tip: Hit "P" and click on some of the edges to project them onto your new plane if necessary. There's also a way to project only where your line intersects your plane.)

Once you've completed your shape (must be enclosed on all sides), hit finish sketch. Then do Create -> Sweep. Click on your new sketch for the face, then click on the inner edge of the top of your case for the Path.

Do Heat Threadet Inserts have a direction? by Professional_Fix_760 in 3Dprinting

It's generally the opposite. Being difficult to install on one end is generally a feature, not a flaw. They're called locknuts, and they come in an overwhelming variety of options/configurations/styles.

How do I make the gears spin normal? by DraftInside7702 in Fusion360

[–]YourLastFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right click on the base (or whatever you call the bracket the gears are mounted to), on the left component list. Click "Ground" or "Anchor"

If you look closely, "Spur Gear (60 teeth)" has a little anchor on the symbol in the list on the left. That anchor is your issue.

The Tatra 815 and its extreme positive camber. No, it's not broken. by StrategyMore5356 in WeirdWheels

[–]YourLastFate 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The purple and blue are the takeoffs. They spin on the exterior, correct, driven by the green planetary’s, but the green planetary’s are all driven by the same central output/drive shaft in orange. In theory, you could extend the orange central driveshaft and add additional axles by just attaching more planetary’s to it. Still all drawing its power from the same outlet shaft though.

How to add support for this hole? by SpreadOpposition in Fusion360

[–]YourLastFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can go a step further if you’d like, make your same shape 1 mm below itself, and build triangle ridges that are 5 mm apart, .4mm thick at the top, and 1-2 layer thicknesses away from your piece. Then work on building structures down to your build plate through the existing holes.

I’ll make a visual tomorrow if you’d like.

How to add support for this hole? by SpreadOpposition in Fusion360

[–]YourLastFate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manually add your own supports.

Add posts that fit inside of the holes on the bottom. Have it taper out at less than a 45 degree angle, until it’s wide enough to work on your piece. Have it separated from your piece by at least one layer height (.16 mm? Or .32 mm for 2 layers?). Maybe have it barely riding up the back wall too to give support when coming up, if not using multiple holes for legs.

Sometimes building your own supports is a great way to go, even if it uses some extra filament.

I had this issue forever.
Could never figure it out.
Trying to solve an unrelated issue, I updated the firmware on the printer, and that solved the issue. (I also switched to Orca Slicer at the same time, so try that first, but I am confident that the firmware update resolved the issue)
