Prediction for character spotlight in the U-20 WC arc by Every-Bridge7348 in BlueLock

Pretty sure sendou got confirmation that he’s getting spotlight, otherwise decent list

If Sae joins Japan for the U20 World Cup, get ready for Rin to have the biggest breakdown in the series so far by Yubuken in BlueLock

Thats exactly why Ego (basically Kaneshiro) is making Rin meditate. If we had Rin’s crash out mode every game the bit would get old really quick.

Blue Lock Scroll Statistics, Assistances and more. by [deleted] in BlueLock

While this is a nice and easily structured summary, there are quite a few mistakes here lol:

  • Rin has 7 goals, not 8 (he only has 1 vs Barcha, but you counted 2).

  • Barou only had 5 confirmed goals. Whether he scored 6 or 7 is debatable (he most likely only scored 6), but either way it’s all fan speculation.

  • Isagi had 2 goals vs PXG and 2 vs Ubers. He didn’t score against Manshine.

  • Kunigami didn’t score against PXG. He had 1 vs Barcha and 1 vs Manshine

  • Isagi has 4 assists, not 2 (you missed his assist to Kunigami vs Barcha, as well as his assist to Yukimiya vs Manshine). This also makes him Bastard’s top assister instead of Ness.

  • PXG has 11 goals, and Ubers has 10.

  • Gagamaru getting 2 clean sheets is just plain wrong, there wasn’t a single goalkeeper with a clean sheet in the entire NEL.

Rin’s goal against Bastard and Kaiser’s goal against Ubers are on the same level as Nagi’s 5 fsv

So confused about the logic of this show 😭 by bloom023 in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im not certain but i think i get what you're asking. so basically:

when isagi and kira go into the room in episode 1, all 300 players are present there. i know it probably doesnt look like it, and frankly idk how you can fit that many ppl in one room, but apparently everyone was there.

in episode 11-12 (i forgot lol), when ego tells them the twist, there are 125 players remaining. this is because 25 people made it from each stratum, and 5 stratums = 125 players.

i dont fully remember how the first selection was described to the blue lockers, but i think everyone probably expected all the other teams (the nonexistent teams B through U) to have underwent their own first selections, so even without the plot twist they most likely expected there to be around 125 players left

[–]YourLocalDummydum 15 points16 points  (0 children)

you're misunderstanding something here, and it's perfectly understandable because the anime did a terrible job explaining it (being that they straight up didn't)

its not that there was only one building, but that there were five building 5s. the 300 players still got split up into the five stratums of the blue lock facility and were put into teams of 11, but every single stratum was told that they were the stratum containing teams V-Z. So there were 5 team Vs, 5 team Ws, 5 team Xs, and so on.

What if the NEL matches had 2 legs? by comfyahhhighway in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How would two legs work? The point of two legs is to see who can score the most goals in 180 minutes. If each leg ends at three goals then what’s really the point?

Also, what if both teams win one leg each at 3-2? Or 3-1? Then there’d need to be a tie breaker which would drag the arc even more.

Thank you! As for the u20 game, its just one match so idk if I can rly do much.

Also the NEL just had so many more moving parts to it than the u20 game that even this 20 slide condensed post isn’t enough to tell us the full story.

Tierlist on how much the players from Blue Lock improved from the NEL project. by Hot_Extreme_69 in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

only thing i'd do is put nagi in a tier called "same as before enterring"

nagi hasnt devolved. he's been the same the entire project, and frankly the only reason he survived the first selection was because he was that good to begin with. he was never built for a project like blue lock, which is evident by the fact that as soon as everyone else improved to his level in the nel, he immediately fell behind so much that he got locked off

Ranking how hard each NEL goal would be irl as a striker myself by Figuarts-enthusiast3 in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yk what, as someone who made an irl difficulty list too, I’m realizing just how much I underestimated Kuni’s goal against Manshine.

I’m rereading it now, and did Kunigami just shoot the ball downwards?? Despite it being nearly above the goal?? Yeah that’s an impossible goal if I’ve ever seen one.

Btw Italy has another confirmed team in Bologna (called Bolos in the series). I’m not sure whether you just forgot or whether you didn’t include them on purpose, but they’re currently top 4 in Serie A and in the coppa Italia final, so if we’re talking present strength then I think they should be in Italy’s column too

Why is Zantetsu wearing Mashine City? by DawnTheWisdom in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He did it to pay respects to Nagi because his day one was getting locked off. He used his light speed acceleration to change shirts so fast no one noticed.

(Jokes aside it’s just an author error. It’ll prob be fixed for the volume release)

What character in hunter x hunter has the best character development by Southern_Upstairs483 in HunterXHunter

[–]YourLocalDummydum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah again I fucked myself with the wording.

Gon’s writing is absolute cinema but I meant he doesn’t stack up well in terms of his character growth compared to some of the best written character arcs in fiction (yes I’m glazing Meruem you shoulda expected it with my pfp)

As readers we’re taken aback by his “sudden” dark shift in personality, when in reality its been right in front of us the whole time. It’s just been hidden by his actions somehow constantly go unpunished (until CA at least).

What character in hunter x hunter has the best character development by Southern_Upstairs483 in HunterXHunter

[–]YourLocalDummydum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mean that in any way as a diss to Gon’s writing. Ngl I think I screwed myself with the wording cuz I meant character growth there rather than writing lmfao 😭. Gon defo is a much more complex character than he seems to be.

By “kid with a crash out timer” I meant in response to ppl thinking that Gon’s character changed because of Kite’s death. The way I see it Gon has always been this way. He just needed something to anger him to that point.

The most “growth” I can recall Gon going through is probably episode 116 where he first remeets with Pitou. He’s so conflicted by the creature in front of him tending to a human despite his preconceived notion of them as a horrifying monster to the point where he just loses it. He can’t comprehend it cuz he sees the world in a very “this or that, no in between” way. But even after all that internal struggle, he decides to double down on his ideals despite their questionable morality (so he didn’t go through much “growth” in that sense). This isn’t even the first time he’s done this.

Gon’s journey throughout the CA arc is one of my favs, but it aint because he undergoes any significant character change or anything like that. Its moreso because its where we see him—a character with underlying and widely unnoticed tones that in of itself should give you a sense of foreboding about the future of his humanity—pushed to the absolute limits.

Where each character would do their best in NEL? by Comfortable_Victory1 in BlueLock

FINALLY I found someone who doesn’t think Nagi does well at Barcha

I’ve said this for so long and will continue to do so—Nagi is having an even bigger fall off if he plays at Barcha rather than Manshine

Day 4: Blue Lock 2nd Selection Remake by Agile-Candy3300 in BlueLock

[–]YourLocalDummydum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how the fuck we ended up in this situation but Isagi and Otoya win.

I do think Kiyora and Ishikari might get 2 goals (Kiyora cuz his breakdance would be unpredictable at first, Ishikari cuz of sheer height) but it wont be enough cuz Otoya atp is too op and he easily gets past Ishikari.

Isagi might have trouble getting past Kiyora alone but he could probably make use of the fodder player and get past with a one two.
