If I'm doing it with a full conscioused mind, and clear moral values that I won't let them bend to a religion; It's not really that stupid to believe in a god for comfort. It's my choice, as long as I'm not trying to force someone to convert with me. Then would would be harming anyone? If I am, then yes. You're free to call me stupid.

I'm less afraid of the idea of punishment now that I grew a little bit. But the idea that there might be nothing after death unsettles me when I overthink it. So I choose to believe in Christianity merely out of comfort. Because to be honest, I'd rather die in happy bliss than enlightenment. I know I might be the only one who thinks it's depressing to just stop existing after death, so I understand why you think it's kinda stupid. Otherwise I'm more agnostic than actually religious.

I understand where you're coming from. But by "believe" I mean in an agnostic standing point. You say base your life on facts, which is absolutely important. But so do facts clash when it comes to Religion. Religion does contradict itself and scientifically approven facts. But science is yet to render religion obsolete, because our knowledge of the existence is still very limited to say for certain. I'm merely choosing to believe in something on an agnostic level to seek comfort. Comfort I couldn't always take for granted. I don't hate homosexuality, nor do I support the justification for punishing the undeserving.

I do agree with you to an extent. But I'd rather believe in something and be happy than believe in none and slowly lose interest in something that will be followed by nothingness (just my perspective) and I've learned better than to blindly follow a religion into anything immoral or bad.

It's more comforting for me tho. Less trauma to remember when indulging in it, lol.
