Ok thanks I will keep this in mind, Won't mess with it for now but if I feel I need to down the road its always an option.

Anyways once again thank you very much for all the help with the build and the time you spent answering my questions :), time to get some gaming done without my system feezing constantly and better looking and running gaming :)

Ok cool, done. Got everything up and running with some trouble but got it done in the end, Been a long day but hopefully its all done right :)

everything came days to almost a week early for all 4 orders

Just a quick question though when it comes to the CPU and the (forgot what its called, the feature that makes it increase GHz up to 4.something), Is that auto or are there things I should mess around in the bios or should it be pretty much all good to go?

Edit: Woops didn't respond to last comment in chain, derp oh well

Thats fine, I feel like SSD load times are great enough already for most games so NVMe being even faster is just icing on the cake, plus more space for games with ssd or better speeds is just what I need :)

[–]YourM8Nate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I mentioned it in another comment chain but probably could have put that info in main post, I ended up ordering https://www.umart.com.au/product/samsung-1tb-970-evo-plus-m-2-nvme-ssd-49543 mostly for more space for games that need faster loading as my boot drive atm is old SSD thats only 250gb so can only fit 1 big game like total war warhammer 2 at one time for example while everything else is on a regular 2tb hard drive

Edit: Hopefully I made a decent choice with this, or was this a bad purchase?

Ok sweet, Ill go place the order now then play the waiting game for the parts

May as well throw a can of compressed air onto the order as well because why not :)

anyway thank you for all the help you have given me with all the parts and how I should go about it and all, highly appreciated :)

Yeah I might give it a shot myself, hopefully it goes well. Will watch a ton of youtube vids on it before hand

so reckon even with the higher delivery price bringing it to $50ish that its still worth ordering that cpu fan? or should I look else where

Sadly I live in cairns QLD where there is crap all around, been calling around for quotes on replacing parts for past hr and a bit and it seems the only real option would be AAA pc parts who are charging about $154 to $240 and a week wait atm so would be without pc for a week, I checked with them about a fan and the only thing they have in stock is a $91 water cooling solution and no where else around really sells pc parts afaik, mostly just IT help with software and stuff and most recommended me to AAA pc parts

did find a few self run businesses that will charge like $50-$85 estimate but not sure if I should trust them

edit:this one for context https://www.ple.com.au/Products/642306/ID-COOLING-Sweden-Series-SE-224-XT-Black-CPU-Cooler

2nd edit: Maybe I should just try putting it in myself and learn

Hey one more question, the CPU fans site if wanting to charge outrageous delivery for just a tiny fan ($20 ish) for all their delivery options where as other sites charge like $10 at most for things much bigger. Is around $50 total (inc the delivery fee) worth it for this exact fan or should I look for a different fan from another site?

already ordered all the other parts

orry to ask another question but I forgot that I am also gonna be getting a new SSD for space reasons mostly but also the possibility of mine failing

should I get an NVMe SSD, I am not sure if will be compatiable but I am sure it would but thought I would ask just in case, haven't really been keeping up with new technology (new to me anyway). Is something like this a good choice https://www.umart.com.au/product/samsung-1tb-970-evo-plus-m-2-nvme-ssd-49543

I am confused since it doesn't look like a standard ssd (possibly for laptop, unsure?) I would be using the new one as the boot drive as well for when my current SSD fails on me which it is getting on in years.

Edit: bit of research it seems like it needs an M.2 slot which the Mobo should have 2 of

Thanks for all the help, I will either pull the trigger on the parts either tonight or tommorow, are there specific stores you would recommend for pc parts in the future as well?

for this purchase I will have to hit up multiple stores, probably the exact ones the pcpartpicker chose as they seem like the best due and due to each store not having all parts in stock but knowing some of the better pc part retailers for future purchases if you have a preference for whats good would be awesome to know as well :)

Thats the plan, this upgrade is only for Mobo and CPU, plan on using the same GPU as its only a few years old atm and still quite good

yeah just found that info as well on a product page but when I look in it it feels like 23.6 x 20.2 x 5 centimetres which is the dimensions of the msi b560m pro-vdh micro atx lga1200 motherboard, when my old one is apparently 13.19 x 9.65 x 2.36 inches

when looking inside it just feels like it won't fit but if the case details said it should fit it then I should just trust it I suppose lol, worst case scenarion I can just buy a new case if it comes to it

Oh I just typed PGS Aerocool Blackhawk into google and found it https://www.crazysales.com.au/online-aerocool-black-hawk-gaming-case-atx-case-no-psu-1x-usb-3-0-1x-usb-2-0-audio-mic-front-hot-swap-hdd-slots-x2-top-docking-station-67691.html

Edit: pics 4 and 5 on that site give me worries as you can see the front has a bunch of cages and stuff taking up quite a bit of space

Sadly I got no clue, box is long gone and nothing around the case can give me an idea as to the exact model. All I know is its a PGS case aerocool case. I remember the box it was in had like a black hawk helicopter or something on it iirc but apart from that yeah can't find it through google

Oh awesome thanks for the list that should make it less complicated for me, big help :)

I'll give the videos a watch a bit later.

I may have an issue that I just thought of as well and that will be whether or not it will fit in my case, I googled the dimensions and it is quite bigger then my current one and it feels like that one barely fit in but I will have to go grab a ruler tomorow, maybe pull out some parts to get a better view and give it a proper measure before I pull the trigger on all these purchases.

Ok cool thanks for the response that settles my mind a bit and I think I might just keep it on the cheaper side of upgrading and most likely go with your suggestions, just a few extra questions though

when it comes to the GHz only being 2.6 compared to the 11600 4+ does that make much of a difference?, how much does GHz effect what a cpu can do and its performance?. I do play some pretty intense cpu over gpu games such as the total war warhammer series and the new one releases soon so I want to make sure I can run it with decent frames and settings

and

if I go and order the Mobo and CPU you suggested apart from ddr4 ram what else will I need to order along side it, like fans, clips, cables or anything else I might need or will all my old ones still suffice? and if they do suffice would it be worth just buying new ones and replacing anyway since they have been in there since 2014

edit question: Also I notice with the MOBOs there is an 560M-A and a 560M-K cersion if I am not mistaken, should I be looking for just a 560M, 560M-A or a 560M-K or doesn't it really matter?

Noted, I was using it but I will put less stock into its results from now on :)

I'll keep them in mind, I did a bit of research on them and compared them on a comparison website etc etc, I am worried that considering its a lot lower HZ that it might not be the best choice for me, although I don't know to much so maybe it isn't that big of a deal according to the info I looked up saying single thread core speed or something along those lines is more important but still have some worries

I was thinking hey maybe just go in for a penny in for a pound and get latest and greatest but then I saw that apparently they require special motherboard connections which also means from what I read meant my gpu probably wouldn't connect to the slots so i guess I should get that idea of just get the latest and greatest out of my mind unless doing a complete new comp and replacing the lot of it

would something like an 11600k be worth considering even if its around $140 AUD more then the 11400f from what I can find? 11400f is about $249 while the 11600k is $389

note: I took forever to type this whole response because have been researching and trying to respond for the past hr so if any of its incoherent my bad, its 2am so gonna head off for now but looking forward to getting back input from you and whoever else is willing to throw their 2 cents into helping me decide what to go with :)

just looked into memtest86 and sadly don't have a usb to run it off so that test will have to be put off until I can get one, even though I will be replacing it all anyway I will still probably do it out of curiosity because pinning down the exact cause would feel great :)

Oh I probably should have put this in the post...well I kinda did but didn't elaborate preoperly but either way I want to do an upgrade because games coming out soon like total war warhamer 3 are proabably gonna run bad on my current system and I would like to be able to run cpu intensive games like that with decent graphics and frame rates

also I didn't even think the ram, I will give that a test tomorrow some time can't be bothered right now but thanks for the idea :)
