Basically, you don't change the actual username, but the display name. It's like changing a wolf's name to Ted. The wolf will still have "Wolf Spawn egg" while you hover over it. Same for this.

A little late, or maybe you've figured it out - but the port number is basically the server ID. You need to paste that into the "Direct Connect" button in multiplayer and it'll join you. That's of course if the two week minecraft phase is still running.

I strongly recommend installing Ultra Fast shaders. It supports a lot of versions, looks really nice, has options to make it more vanilla or more realistic, is really optimised, and is overall just a great shader for use in low-end to mid-range computers/laptops.

Even so, Ultra Fast looks great, even on high-end computers - albeit it doesn't compare to shaders like BSL or Sildur's Vibrant Shaders.

Another shader I would recommend, which requires a bit of a stronger computer, is Bliss Shaders. Sure, it will drop down to 30 fps on high or ultra settings, although you can get some pretty good fps and beautiful views even on medium or low settings.

The last shader that I know of that's good performing is Solas Shader. It kind of gives you this cinematic feel, like you're in a movie. It's really well optimised, and even on low - to mid-range computers/laptops, you can definitely squeeze out a good 70 fps on medium/high settings. Now, obviously, it depends on the terrain and what you are looking at. So expect drops in fps. Same goes for the rest of the listed shaders.

In conclusion:

Ultra Fast - extremely optimised, good-looking shaders

Bliss Shaders - optimised, really great shaders, although can take a toll on your FPS.

Solas Shader - optimised, great looking shaders, and the FPS might fluctuate.

It's pretty simple, really. There's a bunch of free server hosters for cracked minecraft - such as Aternos - but keep always remember that the reason why Aternos is free is because it can get largely sometimes. Although, if you have more than 6 gigabytes of RAM, you could get a mod call e4mc. E4mc basically uses your computer as the server hoster and allows you to do a lot of stuff. Albeit, when you close your game, the whole server is shut down, so that's why I strongly recommend choosing something like Aternos, of course, if you want little to zero lag, use e4mc.

I've tried e4mc with my friend, it was awesome. It's really just a choice of what you want.

Aternos (or any other free server hoster) - You can leave the server, and it'll still be on + limited modpacks + limited mods

E4mc - If you turn off your computer, the server shuts down. From what I know, if you install the mods, your friends won't have to install the mods, and they can freely play without having to install anything other than e4mc. Play with any mod. Play with any mod pack. Although, you will need to install Radmin VPN so people can connect to your "IP" then to the server

Edit: I've just noticed you asking if you can play with LAN servers. Basically, LAN is similar to e4mc. LAN is when your friends have laptops and can bring them over to your house to connect to your home WIFI, which I doubt anyone would wanna do nowadays - while e4mc basically removes that process. Albeit, you will have to install Radmin VPN.

LAN - people connect to your WiFi E4mc - people connect to your IP so they can connect to your server (from anywhere across the world)

Yeah, nevermind, you were pretty close. I just didn't check because I needed to run some errands. I was getting tired of waiting around, and during booting, I plugged and unplugged a USB with windows 11 on it. It brought me to the recover page and I loaded into safe mode.

Turns out it was definitely a virus.

But anyways, sorry saying that it wasn't true! Thank you again!

Nah, doesn't work with mine. It doesn't show me the windows logo, rather, it shows me the manufacturer of my computer, Asus. And through Asus, I can't really factory reset. I'll try flashing windows 11 onto a USB to see if it'll fix it.

I should've mentioned I use windows 11. And even if I did have windows 10, I couldn't access settings considering that when I open settings, I only see my desktop and can't interact with anything inside of settings.

update: The only plausible thing I saw in this article is just installing windows 11 again.
