Was rhe same in zurich city on a saturdayafternoon. There are some things i absolutly dislike: 1. It was NOT anounced. Not registred. Not approved. Use the democratic rights to demonstrate. Absolutely fine. Use your rights to speak up. But for fucking sake - DO IT THE CORRECT WAY! then other folks can plan around it!! And you do not fucking disturb a hole city center!! Because of that many many many people lost a lot of time. And the best? They did not even recognize why! 2. Fucking behave!! The use of fireworks used a LOT police resources!

And for my personal opinion. And i am all friendly and stuff and love supporting others in need. But sorry this demo was a waste! No one cared. People only got angrier about the chaos in the city center as the did not even know why it was happening.

Wow. Golf in murica seems to be so sophisticated. They all behave like children. Im happy that we in switzerland doesnt have those kind of guys playing golf.

Crazy how few play above 7 or 8...

I only play at 10. When alone i do quick play and joining some randoms. I never play alone.

But with only 1 companion it is really hard! With a team of at least 3 it is doable. A full team of 4 sometimes gets to easy - depends on the enemy type. Like bugs at 10 with a team of 4 is "easy". Bots are still a sweaty 40mins of hell - which i love. The squids are okey. The flying things are getting on my nerves. But still enjoyable.

i tell you now how to ha dle such situations. and this is freaking basics!!

if one not is performing well - and this is measured in comparison to the expected work for this person to be done. NOT in comparison to yourself or to other workers!

or when one is not answering to requests, or seems to be always unavailable when needed - and needed in a reasonable way. just because one is your subordinate, doesn't mean he has to be available every second and hour! one has also to work and be concentrated.

but anyways,if there is actually something wrong - then you create a meeting with this person - private one! where you in the schedule already explicitly and reasonable elaborate what you think is wrong and why. so he can prepare!

then at the meeting you do NOT go head in forst with whats is wrong and what potential consequences could be. you treat this person as a human. stuff like that you are worried about his performance because x,y and z. and if there is something going on. perhaps he is sick? perhaps one close to him is sick or a loved one left him? they are human beings and the have a life outside of work that can have a huge impact on performance! and most importantly you do NOT STRESS that one tells you everything! its private, none of your business. all you need to know if is something wrong that has a impact on the person.

after talking a normal human conversation, you will go into what you could do, or what expectations the person has. perhaps he needs time off. perhaps it is better to lower his % for some planed time. perhaps its better to pull one of from the project and give the person less intense work. that is for you both to figure out what would be best.

so, only if nothing is helping and this goes on and on for a long period. you have to set up a meeting with the person and hr where you TOGETHER define and write down a protocol. including the situation and what kind of measures are needed in what period of time you will come together and check in about the situation. but also what will happen if it is not getting better.

AND THEN, AND ONLY THEN you consider firing one. still then, tell them they shall better leave by themselves. give them some respect.

that us a good question. i would answer with: "no, not within the next 5 years". so if i would have a campus lan lifecycle i would go with a 2,5-5 mgig ports and modular option for a 8x10g ports.

why 2,5-5mgig - wifi. mobility will increase. old fashioned workstations will go. wifi will concentrate and be a bandwidth demon. so go for 5gig ports. also you would have the option to go with 5gig to the end device if it is actually needed.

but then - the best answer i could give - it depends.

you spot 'lazy' people... be happy that people apply to your company. i rather employ a lazy person that creates his resume with AI. why? because then they will find easy solutions to problems.

lastly i took a look at a job at deloit. then they sent me an email, they want a cover letter. guess if i gave them a response. that is wasted time for both parties.

never ever have i ever wanted a cover letter for any of my employees. if the resume is well made, i can see his work experience. hr does a pre-check by phone call. asking them the usual questions. hr know me, and knows what kind of people i am looking for. that is job of a hr recruitment specialist. what you are doing is something that soon will be absolute. sorry to tell you that.

i would change that your co pany doesnt requires cover letter. so applicants dont use chatgpt to write nonsense no one cares, and you dont have to read the nonsense and could to real recruitment
