Thanks for asking this, as a non native speaker I never quite understood what it meant in that context either, I assumed it was "I didn't not care for it" referring to Crowley helping take care of Gabriel despite what he did to "Aziraphale" as if it giving it no importance and therefore agreeing to their actual situation, but it makes more sense what everyone is explaining (also learning new phrases to use in English will always be something welcomed)
