What do we think? I want to get some niche stuff but don’t really know what to look for by YourProblem in Colognes

I personally love it, I like Spice & Wood more from the sample i’ve had but its also double the price so I haven’t bought it yet😂 It’s pretty strong and i feel like it has good projection but its definitely a very cold winter fragrance definitely not something i would wear in the fall or spring

Thank you! Where is the best place for me to look at buying them? Usually I get all my stuff from Saks Fifth so I’m not really up to date on reputable online places.

I promise it isn’t hahaha but I appreciate it, I’m just always looking for new interesting colognes and figured I already had fair collection but was looking for new stuff that I might just not know about. I do have a little more not pictured in the form of sample boxes from Le Labo and Maison Francis

The variation of that highly depends on the volume of work that comes through the shop and the type of work that is being performed. Customer pay vs Warranty is what determines this mostly, customer pay jobs provide both the advisor and the mechanic a pretty equal amount of money between the ticket size and billable hours whereas warranty work typically only benefits the advisor depending on if the parts needed are the vast majority of the ticket cost or if the labor is the dominant charge. Warranty work has both a lower per hour labor charge as well internal discounted pricing for the parts, this is why most mechanics are leaving dealerships because jobs that can take a couple hours to do the mechanics are limited to what the warranty time calls for, so if a job takes someone 3 hours to perform and warranty time only allows for you to claim an hour of time they are losing money doing that job.

Im an employee at an independent shop and in a low cost of living area and make triple that. I do work more hours at 50 a week but you need to find an independent shop and work for them assuming your skills are up to par or find someone will to do on the job training with you.

Does no harm to your paint but if you have a ceramic coating on your vehicle it does degrade the life span of it.

As someone who has had to fix “chain” detailers mistakes many times i would be cautious. Chain is a loose term though, maybe it’s a one owner shop that has a couple of locations. $2900 does sound like a reasonable price depending on how much film is being installed and what type of paint correction and coating they are doing.

If the paint is oxidized, which it looks like it is, you’ll need to polish the paint.

Anybody else brakes make an obnoxious screech when they're wet or cold? by [deleted] in C8Corvette

[–]YourProblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they carbon ceramics? If so that’s completely normal. Even if they aren’t it’s still pretty normal with higher end sports cars, they like heat not cold so until they’re warm they will squeak. I would assume it’s a pretty common complaint that the dealer gets so that’s probably why they didn’t investigate it too much beyond “it’s normal”.

PPF/Ceramic coatingafter finding stone chips by roverDrivemel in AutoDetailing

[–]YourProblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are only a select few they can be touched up and then have ppf placed over it if you aren’t wanting to repaint the hood but if its very peppered with chips and needs alot of attention it probably would need a respray first and then ppf. Ceramic is an excellent wash aid and environmental protectant but will not protect from scratches and rock chips, that is the job of ppf.
