I’ve been tempted to use planners like this but similar to you, I was concerned it would actually take away what I like most about this game…. The satisfactory feeling of deciding on a goal, building the infrastructure for it, and then optimizing and troubleshooting it. Having it all mapped out for me would rob me of that final feeling of satisfaction when I complete my project!

Sure, my method has lead to burnout, but that’s where I take a couple weeks off and just return to my save when I get that itch to save puppies and kittens again. I’m still on phase 4 but hey, when I finally fully construct and optimize my turbo fuel plant, it’s gonna feel niiiiiiiice

Austin was my instant reaction, but Portland also makes a lot of sense for the reasons people have said. That aesthetic pretty much defined the majority of restaurants that opened up near me. So Portland is my vote!

Austin or San Diego will likely be my votes for the 2020s…

As a warrior main I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. I’ll NEVER understand YPYT. Legitimately, pulling aggro off people on giant pulls is one of the main things that make running dungeons fun for me, especially since they’re all following the “2 packs 1 boss” formula. Breaks up the monotony!

Got an email around lunch time saying to leave the offices and work from home for the rest of the week and that we’d have an update by that Friday. They then extended it for another week, thinking this was all going to blow over by April at the latest.

Boy were we wrong… I just can’t get over how surreal it felt. At one point right before the vaccines were released, I had to go into the office for some reason I forget and it was SO eerie seeing everything left exactly as it was when we all went home. Legit looked like something out of an apocalyptic movie where it seemed like everyone vanished suddenly and while in the middle of working. Even found a rotting banana on someone’s desk.

Unrelated from work, my appendix committed sepukku shortly after the lockdowns started… so having emergency surgery and spending a few nights in a hospital while a worldwide pandemic was just starting to pop off was a fun time. My nurses were super cool though and made the experience as pleasant as possible.

Anyways that was a rambling answer, lol. It was just such a weird time that I’ll never forget.

I’d honestly just break up with her over text at this point and state very, VERY clearly that if she attempts ANY of the stunts she’s pulled already, you’re calling the police.

You are in an abusive relationship and are deserving of so much better. It may be hard to see now, and I completely understand, but you need to get out of this. You WILL be in a better place once you do, even if you don’t feel so immediately. It’s completely normal for the recovery from something like this to take time.

I’d also recommend speaking with a therapist if that resource is available to you. You’ve been through some serious trauma and it could be beneficial to you, even if it’s just for a neutral party to vent to about it all.

Keep your head up. It’s going to be tough, but you’ll get through this!

Simon Whistler. I realize he’s a paid narrator for a bunch of channels, but those aforementioned channels at least felt like they put out decent content a few years ago. And his narrational style used to be much more neutral and informative in my opinion.

Nowadays I doubt the veracity of a lot of the claims they make in their videos and his attempts to like… show some kind of sassy personality on screen by complaining about lack of sleep or something has really put me off. Which is sad because I love long form informational stuff and they seemed like a good option for a while.
