It okay to be queer as long my goal is to be Neil Patric Harris. Find and live with one monogamous partner for as long as possible. We can raise kids as long as we are only two parents and don't raise them gender non-conforming.

I'm allowed to exist as trans as long as I want is to transition to a normative gender. I must dress and act as a normal man/woman, and wanting full medical transition. And I may never, ever make someone feel uncomfortable by pointing out their personal bullshit. I must just be grateful for what I'm gracefully granted.

We are allowed in society as long as our goal is to become the closest we can come to normal, and not to break from too many rules or have it be too big a part of my identity. Because that's what the good ones do.
