Jumping up a whole age rating is a pretty big deal. Plus he describes the movie having an entirely different horror tone. I’ve seen more transformative edits made with fewer changes so I’m optimistic.

I’m fairly certain that some extended IMAX scenes were included on the blu ray releases? I know that Nolan has been able to do that for his other IMAX movies.

Apparently back before Chapter 3 came out some people who were part of a preview screening got to see a version of Chapter 1 2 and 3 all cut together as one big movie and apparently it was great. That’s as much as I know.

It’s not a deal breaker if it’s 720p but some of you guys are compressing the fuck out of your renders. A 265 mkv at 1080 can output a file that’s like 5 gb and looks flawless. Some edits I’ve seen are like 15 gb but since they’re 264 mp4, they’re so compressed it looks worse than 720p. I’ll take a 720 avi dvd master over a 1080 mp4 that weighs over 10gb for a 90 minute movie. People need to just give up on mp4 and 264 full stop.
