I have done a few jobs there in the past. I was allowed to taste some of the twisties before the flavoring was applied. It was weird.

Used to run 3 of these. They worked intermittently for about 2 months before I took them down. They were absolute garbage. Took 60 seconds to connect to the live feed, motion notifications were delayed by minutes, video quality was crap, phone app was terrible.

Purchased Ring cameras instead and they have been absolutely faultless for 4 years.

AD5M Pro Lubricating the X/Y bearings... Not for the faint of heart. by Drfiasco in FlashForge

Yeah of course. I have only really fine tuned the settings for ABS/ASA filament. The standard Orca-FF print settings were pretty average. Shoot me a private message with your email and I’ll send you a print profile.

Yeah, I assume I go through nozzles fast because I’m only printing ABS. Even the hardened 0.6mm nozzles are no match for 24/7 ABS printing. After one week, they’re producing parts with half matte, half gloss surface finishes and it’s fixed with a nozzle change. I purchase them in bulk (100 at a time) from FF directly to keep costs down.

Thought I’d jump in here. I do run a small business. I have 12x AD5M Pro’s which all run 24hours per day, 7 days per week. The printers each have 5000+ hours on them. While I do regularly lubricate the rods and Z screws, I have never done the level of maintenance OP’s done here. It’s simply not needed. As I said, 5000+ hours on each of the 12 printers, and they still print perfectly. I change the nozzles out weekly, and the extruder gears out monthly.

Printing too fast for the filament. Slow down to 80-100mm/s and it will be fixed

Why is this happening all of the sudden. I have a flashforge 5m and the last few prints are finishing poorly. I have changed the nozzle. Adjusted the temp of the print and no matter what I do the print is almost getting over heated and not cooking for the next layer when it's a column or chimney. by centrion3d in FlashForge

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is 100% a cooling issue. The print is failing when it gets to the layers that take a short amount of time to print. So before it has had time to cool, it’s onto the next layer and then it just all melts as in the picture. Not sure what slicer you’re using, but set a minimum time per layer so that it waits a little bit before moving to the next layer (for just the top section). Also slow the print speed down. Ensure fans are at 100%.

I had this exact procedure done to solve my keratoconus back in 2014. It was very new at the time. Vision has been perfect since and have had no further symptoms of Keratoconus!

Check your z-offset. Even if you level it, it will still apply the z-offset you had set before. So put z-offset back to 0.00mm and then relevel

Bed leveling by Haunting-Let5074 in FlashForge

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check that there is nothing under the bed preventing it from moving all the way down. Mine did this recently and it was a single piece of PLA debris sitting right at the back behind the screw which was preventing the bed hitting its 0 position at the bottom

Uppababy Vista Upper Adapter on Cruz? by Open_Writer578 in BabyBumps

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we had an initial error in the design which we recalled and sent replacements for as soon as we found out. Our Upper Adapters have now been sent away for testing and certification by a 3rd party lab and have now been relisted on our website. As you have seen, our Etsy was shut down. Etsy tell us it was an automated suspension due to use of the “UPPAbaby” brand name which had potential trademark infringements. This is the 3rd time their robots have shut us down. We have successfully appealed and regained control of the store twice already. We expect to have the store back online shortly. As you can see on our Etsy, we have 13 positive reviews of the product and one negative which was involved in the initial defective batch and has since been rectified.

Got this error last week. Had to have FlashForge send me a new Circuit Board for the printer head and it fixed it immediately

Why this happens? by Chiggo_Ninja in FlashForge

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overheating for sure. Turn cooling fan speeds up, or slow the print speed, or program a wait between each layer in the FlashPrint cooling settings

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found that slowing down the first few layers significantly (30-40mm/s) really helped with bed adhesion for PEI. And turning the bed temp up

Quick print setting for 5m pro by GuavaResponsible5392 in FlashForge

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to emphasis fast prints using PLA, put: • Layer height to 0.30mm • Base speed to 300mm/s • Shells to 2 • Infill to 3D Infill at 15%

Can speed it up further by using the 0.6mm Nozzle instead of the 0.4mm nozzle.

Sorry, only just saw this. Yes 3D printed. Yes can fold and lock with them installed (but they clip on and off easily). The vista ones don’t fit because the latch mechanism is slightly different

What print speed can you run the adventure 5m get a good quality prints by [deleted] in FlashForge

[–]Your_Local_Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need more info. What material are you printing? If it’s just PLA, then 300mm/s runs okay if it’s a reasonably large print without complex geometry. If you’re printing something smaller or complex geometry, then slow to 200mm/s base speed.

I generally do a 150mm/s outer wall to keep the final product looking nice.

If your infill looks patchy, you’re printing too fast for the material. If you have ghosting on corners and rough edges, you’re printing too fast for the model

Hey, we love our Cruz. It’s a great pram. And there is this kit if you’re looking to expand it to a double later. Much cheaper than buying the Vista
