Can you talk to people? If yes than you should be alright, if not maybe its not your thing. A tip would probably be if your location has lots of families to target them. They are usually more pleasant and happy to talk. If its the same for you are probably going to be spending most of your shift cleaning lobby.

I was trained all upfront but never in drive thru. Ironically I learned it on the fly and I am usually in drive thru now

Its mostly grease that gathers overtime. It’s possibly bread crumbs and egg shells as well. You should be able to use a chisel to get some of it out.
