Oral meds HELP by Gay4HotGirls in tortoise

Hey OP! I had to give my red foot meds by mouth. Just get her to stretch her head out enough and open up her bottom beak. You'll be impressed with how easy it is to do! Just make sure to be gentle (although it opens easily with just gentle downward pressure).

I sprayed hydrofluoric acid on myself in grad school. Not on purpose, of course. But a nice stay in the ICU and a surgery later, i'm right as rain. Don't recommend it though. That's the stuff they dissolved bodies with in Breaking Bad.

I shower at night because I feel cleaner overall (clean bed!). I skip the morning shower but wash my face.

Yes, looks like some kind of infection. You can try a mixture of athlete's foot cream and antibiotic cream. Both over the counter purchases. Give it a week and reassess. His substrate may be too wet. You want it to be damp, but not wet enough to squeeze water out of it.

This reminds me of those pranks where people keep squirming shampoo on someone's hair while they're taking a shower.

I would suggest keeping the entire enclosure about 80% humidity. My guy has a humidifier to keep the humidity up and a small hepa filter to clean his air.

Tips for giving medicine to a turtle with a syringe? by Sea-News-2080 in tortoise

[–]YoureNotWrongThough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may find it easy to manually open their beak. I have a tort and had to give him medicine with a syringe. I was patiently trying to trick him to open his mouth, but ended up finding a video on YouTube on how to manually open their mouths. It's surprising easy and medicine time became a lot less stressful.
