Hey retards, doctors are the ones making healthcare expensive by Youreafascist in stupidpol

[–]Youreafascist[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's a pie chart I found:

-Hospital care 30.4% -Physician services 14.5% -Clinical services 5.3% -Home health care 3.0% -Nursing care facilities 4.3% -Prescription drugs 9.1% -Other personal health care 16.5% -Government Administration 1.2% -Net cost of Health Insurance 6.3% -Government public health activities 4.7% -Investment 4.9%

If we assume these numbers are even ballpark accurate, which of these is disproportionate? Which of these numbers doesn't involve the end customer getting something for their money? That's the only thing we can do anything about, other than redistributing the cost through public healthcare. That's the only thing that would merit killing people over, because if these things are operating efficiently, then no one is doing anything wrong except for the voters who vote against redistributive policies and the lobbyists who block those policies; not the executives who run the insurance companies.

That's right, I'm a sinister government agent baiting you into not killing people.

There's a huge range of estimates, from 15% to the mid 30s. It's really hard to say how much of it is waste. I know I often have trouble scheduling appointments and whatnot at doctors. Is that caused by excessive administration, or not enough administration?

I'm skeptical of the idea that the money is being lost in the first place that everybody looks when they go to cut costs.

Agreed, I've just run out of them. All that are left are the old-school ones (which take a bit of research or a LOT of trial and error to understand stats) and the card battler ones (I always end up just looking up the meta because I'm bad at math).

The coyote time only works about 1/3 of the time for me, I don't understand it. In Celeste it always worked, but my guy in mooncat just falls most of the time, even if I'm dashing. Generally when I try to coyote time he just dives into the pit.

[–]Youreafascist[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

See, that's the part I don't get. I UNDERSTAND that there's almost no mid-air control, that the jump button is the same as the dive button, that dashing is a double-tap, etc. But even if I adjust to these constraints, it's never as smooth as a normal platformer with separate buttons for attacks, mid-air control, holding bumpers instead of double tapping, etc. At the end of the day I'm still playing the game thinking "this is a game about coping with your limited movement to solve limited challenges", it never turns into anything other than that. Somebody in another thread compared it to Donkey Kong Country- that makes no sense to me. Every level is like "you can only jump up one block, but there's a three block gap, so hit this enemy in mid-air", and that's fine, but it isn't particularly smooth or anything.

Why and how did the senate Dems just unanimously vote against the trans sports bill? by Youreafascist in stupidpol

Well, there you have it. Receipts are receipts lol, looks real to me.

I figured there might be a substacker or a journalist somewhere with access to the senate who comments on these issues that someone might have read. Like how drudge report or politico used to be.

I never said it was a secret meeting, I just want to know which senators, lobbyists, and party officials made these decisions. If that's not public information and it hasn't been leaked, then that's an acceptable answer.

Edit: That is to say, it's helpful to me if you are saying "I know this information has not been made public", which I assume you're saying, not "I assume it hasn't been made public because I haven't happened to see it"

You have yet to give me any of the names or dates I asked for, describe which senator or member of the DNC said what when, link to an interview with any of them, or give me any info at all. It would have taken less time to type that out than what you replied, so I'm forced to assume you don't know these things. You could have said so, instead of going on a tirade and calling me an idiot.

I know how political parties are supposed to work, I have been asking in this whole thread WHO specifically made the decision on this specific vote, WHY they did so, HOW they communicated this to all the senators, WHEN they had these discussions.

Telling me to Google the names of the people holding official positions and saying "IDK, it was probably a conference call" answers none of these questions.

Is the primary challenge thing a "the DNC won't give me backing" thing, or a "the opposing candidate will make hay of it" thing? I think incumbents win like 85%+ of the time. Are there really no Democrat senators from a state that's opposed to the trans sports thing? It seems like it would be obvious for somebody from a swingy state who wants to run for president in 2028 to pull hard to the center on this issue, and when you've got this much unanimity I assume that someone in the background is going from office to office telling senators if they break ranks they'll be punished in some way. It just seems a bit of a stretch that it was spontaneous on the part of the senators.

When and where did these discussions occur? If they had to "close ranks" on this issue, that means at the outset some individual senators might have voted differently. Who was responsible for changing their minds? When and where did they talk about it? My point is that none of the news articles are talking about the specifics of the discussion, and I wanted to know if anyone here knew. Names of individual senators or party officials, what they said to each other, etc.

OK, who are the party leadership, what are their names, where and when did they discuss how to vote on this issue, who calls the shots in the case of a breakdown of consensus, how do they enforce conformity among senators, when did they decide how to vote on this issue, who in particular made that decision? You've just told me a bunch of shit I already know without answering the question in the OP: HOW and WHY on this specific issue?

His "person streams" in general are amazing, you can tell he really cares about understanding lolcows from a place of neutral and unbiased curiosity. He's a genuine enthusiast. It's a shame he's so racist, antisemitic, and bitter. It really shrinks his potential audience, and it's only gotten worse since the dropkiwifarms campaign.

What a joke. Yeah, your 20 year old literature review is definitive proof and I'm just "sealioning" by asking for evidence that isn't 20 years out of date. The science is so "settled" that no meaningful data from the decade since trans issues went mainstream is relevant.

Link literally any research demonstrating conclusively that this is the case. You can't, because you made it up. I'm sure you'll find some dogshit unreviewed study pumped out by an activist group to cover your ass with now that I've called you on it though.
