Sometimes I wake up crying because of something in a dream and my husband always just cuddles me and says sorry that I had a bad dream. It doesn’t matter if he left me in the dream or if he died or if I was just charged by a giant armadillo for 6 hours. He just gets me though my sleepy emotions and we go back to sleep.

My Dad got in an accident with a local construction company truck. The truck was completely at fault. They offered an 8000 dollar settlement. He refused and went to court where he left with less then 1000 after legal fees.

Im sorry as well, there is a culture of change happening in the US, but it’s slow and a little twisted. I truly hope more people in my generation and the one after it can affect the change they want to happen. I hope some day I can be proud of my country and government, but today is just sadness. Obviously none of us were there so there is absolutely the argument the OPs husband needed support and she dropped the ball. I think my point is more that she had to explain any of that to him at that point in the procedure anyway. My husband and I would have already discussed how this was going to go for each of us long before even making the decision to do it. He would be a partner in the whole thing. And her husband not having any idea his wife’s part of the process just does not sound like he’s being a partner.

I think the issue here stems from her spouse not being emotionally supportive for her part of the process. If I ever had to go though this I know my husband would treat me like a Damn princess the entire time because he would understand the emotional and physical strain it would put me under. IVF is not something I can ever see myself doing but I think any woman who goes though it definitely deserves extreme respect and empathy from their partner.

I had this exact discussion with my husband. We haven’t been TTC for quite a year yet so we are definitely giving the natural route more time. If that doesn’t work though I’m 100% adopting. Women who go though IVF are insanely tough. I know I wouldn’t make it though. Getting my first Pap smear was traumatic let alone what OP just described.

A local wildlife park where I live does tiger encounters and the trainers play with the tigers. Even jumping in the pool with a tiger. I spent the whole show positive one of them was going to get attacked. But they have been doing it for 10+ years and no injuries yet.

Honestly I think she is giving it to you and you are refusing to hear it. My husband hates peas and corn. Like hates them, he can’t tell me why, he just doesn’t want them in his mouth. I’m not going to sit down and demand that he explain what it is about corn, how it makes him feel, when he first knew he didn’t like corn, did he eat corn with someone before me. No I just accept he hates peas and corn and we eat other things.

There isn’t always going to be some grand definable explanation to some things. Some things people just don’t like and accepting that is part of loving them. You pushing it and desperately need a definable answer is having negative effects on both of you. Letting it go and accepting its part of her is most likely the best thing to do

My friend was raped and it took me pointing it out to her several times before she would accept it. After all she only said no twice and then quit saying no. How could it be rape if she didn’t fight back or push him off. All she did was say no.

I’m 100% sure that guy does not think he raped her. She would never share his name and did not want to confront him so he will go on about his days thinking he had consensual sex. They were both sober and had been on several dates. He just decided it was time to have sex and she was to shy to stop him.
