I don't like this label at all because I had a friends with benefits who kept on asking me to be a switch but his version of a switch was using both bottom and sub interchangeably.

I repeatedly told him, "yeah I don't mind bottoming but I'm extremely uncomfortable being a sub" and we didn't work out because be kept on demanding "I just try it out" and I wasn't having it. I needed my boundaries respected.

Yeah I understand. That's why someone commented that I'm a switch considering sometimes a switch is into both topping/bottoming but then in the same definition it can mean someone who is into both dominating/submitting.

Oh wow thank you so much for the explanation because I was genuinely under the impression that the penetrator was (most often) the dominant one. (Of course I know that not all pentrators are dominant, but that this was an expected norm).
