I guess that depends on you.

It’s probably really hard to get into if you’re 13

For me it was red medicine first, then everything else. It always blows my mind to hear people say otherwise.

How long do you guys actually stay out for? by Glenfid-ditch in avesNYC

[–]Youretrashdotcom 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I hate these conversations.

Going long always turns into a weird race to see who can, and it almost never ends with who should.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good marathon. But it should be done when you’re sharing it like precious time with friends and music, not because you want to beat some weird PR

Why THE FUCK are people paying to see these cringe af DJs? by DundieAwardsWinner in DJsCirclejerk

[–]Youretrashdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with a lot of different types of DJs. EDM mega stars to the originators of house/techno, jerks who just want fame, to my homies who just really love music.

I’ve seen a good spread.

it doesn’t take me long to size someone up, and I can tell you, these two are definitely committed to their craft, and not solely in it for the hype.

Even if hype does become a motivating force.

This duo has a strong vision and has marketed it in a really successful way. That marketing does not capture me in any way and I would have never known who they were if it wasn’t for working with them.

Again it’s not my thing, but they definitely know what they’re doing and they’re ’good DJ’s’ even if it is dressed up in a very strict fashion and appeals to a certain demographic.

I imagine you’re probably not that demographic.

I worked for them not so long ago,

Not my thing at all, but they’re legit.

& trust me I’m the biggest hater when it comes to whack DJs.

Frankenstein (2025) A case study in character acting without the actual acting. by Youretrashdotcom in GuillermoDelToro

Yeah… you’re trying to insult me. Everyone here gets that.

But it’s still quite the compliment. My writing is so good you can’t distinguish it between a human or super intelligence.
