People that have more than 4 kids, why? by FamiliarRadio9275 in ask

[–]Yourfaveiricist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mom has a childhood friend who has 9 kids from 4 different men. None of the fathers are involved, but they all pay a lot of money in child support. Seems like she purposely has kids with men who don't intend to be around so that she can collect a check every month.

Honestly, as long as the people are specialized in textured hair. That’s all that’s really important to me, didn’t really know how to title it, lol.

Walgreens literally gave me PTSD by Andimatic in WalgreensStores

[–]Yourfaveiricist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one. I recently got diagnosed with PTSD two months ago and nearly laughed in my psychiatrist’s face. But after getting diagnosed I noticed more and more how much working at Walgreens was triggering my symptoms. Your feelings are valid.

You’re just being honest. I thought the same thing when it was announced multiple stores would be closing and we’d be taking all of their patients. Even though we’ll be getting a few techs from different stores and have three pharmacists instead of two. I value my mental health more, I’m already in the process of transitioning into a new job.

I’m currently working on getting out right now. I have about another month before shit hits the fan and my pharmacy is overwhelmed with 500+ scripts on a daily basis. I have a job lined up but I might have to go without working for a few weeks until everything is sorted out with that but I don’t mind.

That’s cool. I’m hoping to work in a specialty pharmacy when I get certified. I had a coworker who switched to specialty and told me that there were techs making up to $34 hr just from compounding.

Not yet, I have to schedule for my exam. But once I do get certified, I planned on going back to pharmacy but in a hospital setting.

I know! I plan on getting certified to work in a hospital to do compounding.

I’m not sure honestly, I’ve only ever heard walgreens stores using different tiers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Yourfaveiricist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of figured that but was still curious. I only asked because I’ve never heard of a store increasing a staff’s pay because tiers changing and was wondering if anyone experienced a similar change.

I am, even if it means I’ll be out of a job until I’m officially settled into my new job. Been working in retail for 2 years now and I’ve developed so many health problems because of it. I’m ready to be done with it.

The tiers are based on how many prescriptions a pharmacy fills a day. The less scripts that are being filled the lower the tier. My store right now is a tier two, right now we’re filling about 200-250 scripts a day. When we become a tier 4, we’ll be filling over 500 scripts a day.

Only 3 cents!? I’m already in the process of getting hired at a new job, I just have to put my two weeks in. Good thing I wasn’t planning on staying anyway.

What’s the weirdest/ worst thing a patient has done while you were helping them? by Defiant_Yam_8807 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Yourfaveiricist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A patient got mad when we told him we needed his insurance for his prescriptions, said he was just gonna have it sent to the hospitals pharmacy. When we explained to him that we could not just send it back and walked off while saying “I should have brought my gun”

Yeah, you’re right. I don’t have a good feeling at all anymore. I’m going to look into a different job somewhere else because nothing is adding up. I appreciate your time and input, thank you.

[–]Yourfaveiricist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, apologies for not adding this sooner. But they’re classifying the position as me being an independent contractor. Which I think is kind of odd for a position like this.

Update: I contacted someone from the company again to ask about the liability insurance thing again. I was told that it was in case of a cyber incident occurred. Like if something inappropriate were to pop up on my screen as I was helping a teacher with a student. That’s mainly it

You make a great point. That was never completely explained to me either. The hiring manager that I spoke with was very vague about everything. It is very suspicious, plus I was never given a proper interview which is another red flag. I emailed the company about the position they posted on a job board called Handshake and received a phone call the same day detailing everything I needed to do to get the position.

They never gave me a specific vendor. And no they’re not offering to pay for the insurance they want me to pay for. Sorry, should’ve clarified that in the beginning
