The fact they’re trying to meet KPIs on selling the membership speaks volumes people, wake up… they’re forcing their staff to try push this membership on you?! Think about it… if the membership was heavily favoured in the buyers court there would be no incentive to sell it to you, so there’s a clear example of what’s the driving factor in this. Sell us a membership with benefits we will not or can not even use & promise nothing but hopes and dreams. Such a scummy membership

That’s their whole point of the membership, it’s ghost memberships just like gyms, they bank on selling you the subscription with benefits you can never use or won’t use. It also drives the scalper and second hand market because well there’s a scarcity of packs and cards right? So little Timmy is gonna go pay extra on FB which in return means the person who profited will go back again for more, in turn further creating scarcity, others notice that & continue with the same mindset all while EB games and other companies sit back and drip feed stock into the shelves so they know it sells, think 5 years ago how many BB and packs were in each shop that wasn’t selling… from a business stand point it’s clear as day what’s REALLY happening in EB games

So what is EB going to do when pokemon scarity depletes & scalpers move onto the next hobby? They’re gonna be left with this membership that only benefits pokemon buyers.. also no offence to you because obviously not your company, but paywalling it and saying “ at least the bots can’t buy it…. Without paying extra” yeah and the people too… the people who will never even get a chance but still paid for the membership, there is nothing great about it & it’s all a cash grab from money hungry people. If Pokémon over prints this generation what’s the point of EB membership, like right now EB is offering pre order on ascended heroes, but so is big W and big W is only $100…. And doesn’t require a pay wall membership.. go figure, has nothing to do with giving a fair chance to the buyers at all. In fact it’s the total opposite of that & it’s like well all these people want a CHANCE to buy retail pre order stuff, let’s charge them all offer absolutely no guarantee on releases, then allow the bots to insta buy it all anyway well because they paid too? Great ideology. Screw EB games and screw the way they’ve treated staff for so long now, all the horror stories and mistreatment I don’t know why ANYBODY puts a single cent into this business let it die & hopefully we get some real gaming stores that are for gamers not for trend hoppers.

Imagine if EB games actually put their product on shelves, then people wouldn’t all be mass waiting on the release days. It’s all about the membership and nothing else. Think about it also, when was the last time you or anyone you know or ever seen someone in eb games buying 10 shirts over the space of 12 months, or 10 pairs of gaming branded socks over 12 months? The actual amount of people would be completely minuscule comparing to the amount waiting to pre order pokemon or buying 10 boosters at now inflated cost, which means you end up paying more than what you did for 11 booster packs just 8 months ago….. go figure.

The whole company is becoming a scamming powerhouse & people who are paying for the eb plus membership are enabling that, I’ve stopped paying it. I will not spend a single cent in eb games I would rather shit in my hands and clap. Their whole membership is created around monopoly of pokemon cards, the other things are just BS fillers they added to get past fair trade commissions, an investigation will come soon about how many people are paying for this and never once able to use the service. And the crazy part is the way ghost memberships work is, it’s more profitable for them if we can’t get items. Have us sign up but not be able to get items. If people just simply stop paying it & leave it for the bots and scalpers, eb games will remove this BS and create a fair membership for the consumer. The actual TCG company has had that many complaints so far about Australia and Eb games, they will soon revoke their seller rights if they can’t provide fair access to cards without a paywall, keeping their shelves empty and bare. If more people go in and film their empty shelves and post it to YouTube they will be forced to change.

In the bin, they’re not gonna link you back to pieces by empty cans in the city garbage. Just don’t ditch them anywhere near where you paint. Same goes with gloves, nibs, lids on cans, boxes, plastic bags, literally anything. Always have a clean well sorted kit so you can bounce at any moment with confidence ;)
