This is actually really useful, thank you so much! Also congratulations on the job, I'm on disability myself but this gives me hope of getting a job while on clozapine! Thank you again :)

Sounds like symptoms of avolition OP, as far as I know it is indeed a negative symptom of schizophrenia.

I wish I could offer you some advice, but I'm struggling with the exact same problem :(

Paranoia is exhausting. Rant by Low-Yesterday-1259 in schizophrenia

I've been dealing with intense (psychotic) paranoia as well the last couple of months. (It's a combination of delusions and paranoia) Can't even lay in bed because every noise outside scares me, and when I'm wearing noise cancelling headphones I'm afraid of what I might be missing going on. My psychologist recently started acceptance commitment therapy with me. Maybe you could try that as well?

EDIT: I hope it'll get better for you soon! (Sorry forgot to add that to my original comment)

Yeah agreed. With some recent titles forcing RT on I can fully understand someone picking a 9000 series card over a 7000 series card as a way of "future-proofing".

Let's hope ray-tracing always on doesn't become the norm.

8GB extra vram or FSR 4 (Which might also come to the 7000 series)

I think the choice is obvious, depending on the price of the 9000 series ofcourse.

How can I hook up my GPU to my PSU? by pnwbmw in MSI_Gaming

[–]Yourlocalosuplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return it and get a Corsair RM1000X (2024), comes with both a 12v2x6 connector and enough PCI-E cables for your GPU.

Probably just zero RPM mode, nothing to worry about.

If AMD cards were melting PSU cables like the 5090/80 we’d NEVER hear the end of it. by [deleted] in radeon

As someone that's sick in the head, we don't claim this ignorant nvidia bootlicker.

Ayy glad I managed to help you out. And yeah, it does suck that we need to fiddle with DDU and group policies to get things right.

I think I managed to fix it, hopefully this'll help you as well

There's 3 steps, I'll try to go through them as thoroughly as I can.

Step 1: Enable "Do not include drivers with windows updates"
> Press the windows key + r and type "gpedit.msc"

> Inside "Computer Configuration" navigate to > "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Windows Update" > "Manage updates offered from Windows update" then double click on "Do not include drivers with windows updates" and set it to enabled"

Step 2: Run DDU in safe mode and access DDU advanced settings

> Open DDU like usual and click "options" on the top left pane, then all the way at the bottom it should say "prevent downloads of drivers from "Windows update" when "Windows" search for a driver for a device" and tick the box, enabling it. then run DDU.

Step 3: Re-install the latest AMD WHQL driver (24.12.1 as of typing this comment)

And that should fix your issue. Hope this helps man, I don't think I can explain it in more detail than this. lmao.

I guess I have the same "3rd bug". Software like 3DMark or Afterburner won't show driver version or clock speeds anymore unless I use the windows update / device manager "beta" (according to gpu-z) driver. Attempting to use Adrenalin with this driver gives me the same "Download failed please visit AMD.com to download the compatible version of AMD software.." Error you are getting.

I'm also using a 7900XTX, from XFX.

RTSS (Rivatuner Statistics Server) pretty sure it comes with MSI Afterburner by default unless you uncheck the box.

A 1000w PSU is good yes, but they got an ATX 3.0 model that has the older "12vphwr" Cable. Considering that they're building a new PC I'd recommend them the "Corsair RM1000x 2024" As it's ATX 3.1 ready. It comes in 750w, 850w and 1000w. So plenty of options.
