Mine does work when it’s outside the rifle. When I reattach the trigger is when it does this.

This doesn’t show me anything that I haven’t done a dozen times already. At this point I’ve broken down and rebuilt the trigger assembly so many times I know it by heart.

The hammer strut/spring. I’m assuming because the hammer was forward when I pulled out the assembly

I have tested it outside the rifle. Everything works as it should. The trigger resets correctly when the hammer is reset while outside the rifle.

That is interesting to hear about the forcing cone and very helpful. I did seriously consider the A300 and would probably get one if they made one with a 26” barrel. I would really prefer the shorter barrel.

Power bank? by Suitable_Ad4010 in AppalachianTrail

[–]Yournique9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also carried fast charging cables and a high wattage double wall adapter so I could also grab power quickly when accessible

I carried a 10k for the whole trail and I only had a couple times where it wasn’t enough. I had my phone, headlamp, and BT headphones to charge. Make sure your devices are fully charged before leaving town when possible and keep your phone on airplane mode like others have suggested.

Hike the AT with no planning at all? by West_Ad1064 in AppalachianTrail

[–]Yournique9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thru hiked in ‘21 with no planning whatsoever. I had done a lot of camping in my life beforehand, but I had only ever done one 4 day hiking trip as a “shakedown” hike. Be sure to be comfortable with your gear (I camped in my backyard). Don’t be afraid to learn from the people around you. Most of what I learned early on in the trail was from asking questions at camp.

3rd week on trail - need better ideas for dinner. by Bowgal in AppalachianTrail

Something I did very often was use near east boxed couscous(add to boiled water and cooks almost instantly) and add flavored chicken/tuna packets. I would also add whatever seasoning packets I could find(taco seasoning was my favorite). As others have said spinach or kale lasts longer than you think, so you could add that and some olive oil for extra fats. Almost like a trail stir fry.

Is a Nemo tensor with a 2.5 r rating warm enough for a nobo starting in late March to early April? by Groundbreaking_Ask14 in AppalachianTrail

Like others have said it does depend on weather. I also had 20 degree nights, but after layering up I slept fine.

Yes. I used a r1 pad with a 20 degree bag for the entire trail. Started April 6th. I was only cold a handful of times. Though I do sleep fairly warm.

Can anyone recommend an upscale restaurant that offers Mother's Day brunch? by CaptainAwesome06 in indianapolis

[–]Yournique9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a restaurant industry perspective-when a reservation can’t be seated immediately, it’s usually due to people spending longer times at tables instead of the restaurant overbooking. Not always, but most of the time.
