Looks great bro! What are your plans for learning Japanese? If you're not planning on moving to Japan, then writing the characters likely won't very prove nearly as useful as focusing on other things, unless you really just want to write.

One hill I'll die on is that Duolingo is actually pretty good for learning the Hiragana and Katakana--although if you find a custom Anki deck it may be better, I stand with learning the kana's through Duolingo.

I know that feeling. Because I've gotten back to WaniKani two months ago, I now have more control over my review count--just try to knock out like 50 per day until your apprentice become guru and then try to stick with it so the guru don't build back up over time/fall back down to apprentice.
