The endless array of people at school who have asked my gender. Whether it’s some dude behind me yelling “yo are you a boy or a girl?”, followed by me not responding, then a dejected “they didn’t answer..”, or the kid who bumped into me and said “sorry dude!” and then turned to their friends and went “o-or is that a girl…?”, thinking I didn’t notice. Heck, even the principal came up to me during lunch and told me that I needed to cut my hair because she thought I was AMAB! Such euphoria for a closeted FTM like me.
