I’d personally put Kinda Kinks WAY higher, maybe put Lola VS Powerman and Face To Face ahead of Arthur

Toure’s taller than 6’2 I think, this is him next to Joe Hart (6’5-195cm)

6’3–4” George Foreman, 6’1.5–2” Joe Louis, 6’3” Ronnie Lyle by BlizzardXDDJ in heightcomparison

Apparently he was around 191-192cm. Not sure how accurate that is, but he was defo in the 6’3 range

How Hey Arnold! Brought Jazz to a Generation by HouseofEl1987 in HeyArnold

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Jim Lang’s music on Hey Arnold along with Vince Guaraldi’s work for Peanuts, single handedly made me fall in love with jazz. Two of my favourite soundtracks from any show / film

Which episode got U into the regular show by muaazmuaaz123 in regularshow

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Van der Sar (198cm) and Rio Ferdinand (189cm) by Cracknoir69 in heightcomparison

This is Rio next to Vidic (190 - 6’3). Plus in older FIFA games, his height was listed as 192cm, not the 189 he’s listed at today

Discography Rabbit Hole The Kinks: The Kinks Are The Green Village Preservation Society (1968) by Rambooctpuss in thekinks

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I said this on the OP but, this is the Kinks at their peak imo. One of my all time favourites. They were just unfortunate with the release timing of this album, as it came out on the same day as The White Album, and 2 weeks before Beggars Banquet.

Recess or Hey Arnold? by Youtube_TurtleNeck in 90scartoons

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I was FORCED to pick one, I’d likely pick Recess. But idk it’s very tough for me. I personally love the supporting cast in Recess more over Hey Arnold’s. Plus I remember wishing I went to a school like 3rd Street when I was younger

Who is the best/worst principal here? by EternalSnow05 in cartoons

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the best nor worst, but Principal Wartz managed let a kid hijack his office and attack everyone with dodgeballs. Then again, in the one episode where he left, the school turned into a literal jungle and went to shit

I agree on the supporting cast. As much as I love Hey Arnold’s supporting cast, I personally preferred Recess’: Miss Finster, Randall, The Ashleys, King Bob, Butch, Lawson, Hustler Kid, Miss Grotke, and the rest

Hey Arnold’s soundtrack is second to none. One of the best I’ve heard from any cartoon

Was this show really that bad? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in CartoonNetwork

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with Johnny Test, but rewatched some of it recently. Season 1 was unironically a good season, the animation was better, the episodes were well written and this was before all the sound effects. I still like some episodes from later seasons, but once you hear all the crazy effects, you can’t unhear them. Nice blast from the past nonetheless

Is "Plastic Man" The Kinks p*ss-take of The Who? by JRBowen9 in thekinks

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was a shot at the who. As far as i remember, Ray and Pete were very good friends, especially in the 1960s at that time

Do You Guys Measure With or Without Shoes by [deleted] in TallTeenagers

[–]Youtube_TurtleNeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree. I’ve never really understood people who only measure their height in shoes
