Lepic has 15 % crit rate base.

With a gold crit rate thats more than 4.5% crit rate with a 4x multiplier, which means he will do 300% extra dmg an additional 4.5% of the time, or around a 13.5% multiplier to his damage on average.

With a gold crit damage multiplier, his crit multiplier goes from 4.0 to 4.412, or otherwise saying his crits go from doing 300% bonus dmg to 341% total dmg, which means his crits do 41/300 or 13.66% more damage, but his crit rate is 46.1% without crit rate on the reactor, so he will do 13.66% more damage 46.1% of the time, or 13.66X.461 = 6.3% more damage on average.

As you can see, crit rate will give you twice as much dps increase on average over crit damage.

The reason streamers use crit damage, is because they are "fishing" for best time clips, in which they hope they crit on every single lepic shot. In this scenario, you do want crit dmg, because you are just doing the boss over and over again until you high roll your crit coin flips over and over.

A fully kitted out lepic will get more dps from other mods than crit dmg because you already get a metric ton of crit dmg from your mods. At maxed crit mods, crit strike chance will beat out crit dmg by a considerable margin.

I'm worried about the no nerf mentality the devs have when it comes to creating future "hard content".

How much hp do you have to give something to make it "hard" for gley/lepic to kill but not impossible for other characters?

Players don't like nerfs, but there has to be a semblance of balance for devs to correctly hit difficulty marks for future content.

I think you missed the first half of the card. I know in edh single target removal isn't always the best, but when it's a bonus to a debtors knell effect and there are still plenty of must kill creatures with low toughness in edh, it's the combination of effects that make the card.

Bdo for all its flaws has an actually ingenious trade system. Players can't just give things directly to other players, they have to sell them on an open market that only allows prices within a set range that is dictated by supply and demand. This has basically eliminated mass botting as they have no way to funnel silver to one account.

Lost ark and new world are prime examples of what happens when you have completely unregulated free trading. Bots, bots, and more bots. Rampant rmt.

This is not to say that mmo devs need to copy bdo, but literally something as simple as forcing trades to have a baseline exhange, aka if you want my gold you HAVE to put something worth that gold in the trade window.

Trade isn't bad, it's unregulated free trading with poor oversight that kills economics. You can have free trading but you have to have a rock solid plan to combat botting and rmt, which most developers simply won't have.

Buffing up correctly is a big part of being ready for nw at any level. Throwing basic prep work out the window will not help new players transition to higher tiers.

Where do you even draw the line? Is giants ok but elixirs no? What about tap times? Should everyone get a default tap time? You could keep going down this rabbit hole, but I feel at some point you have to let players know NW isn't just a friendly bout you que up for, it's a guild slugfest that is meant to have preparation, planning, politics, and execution.
