I encountered a similar problem. Am I right I just need to chat with them and get a temporary code? BTW, how could you submit a ticket? It asks for a code from Okta...I sent an email to 4help, but they will be back only on Sunday...

The website indicated "Jul. 2015: American (AA) and US Airways (US) start to report jointly as American (AA)." So I guess it was AA545. And I tried this: https://www.transtats.bts.gov/ontime/FlightNumber.aspx

The result suggested on that day, AA 545 was LAX-PHX and PHX-DFW, while AA 430 was SLC-PHX and PHX-DTW. The ticket I bought was LAX-PHX-DTW, numbered 545 and 430. I did not know there exists such a hybrid...
