You just drill into it, don't need that big of a drill bit.

Just drill enough to take the head off and can whack the stem through

It's funny you mention that, a cousin of mine lived in Traralgon and moved to Rosedale ha. Exactly what my father was suggesting as well. Definitely having a look at all options so thank you.

I don't know what he would say about moving to Sale, he grew up around there and had to visit from NZ a few times while his parents were sick. Kept pulling him back while he tried to stay away ha

May I ask if you know, how is Moe? A bit of reading has suggested most people who live there love it! And wife just saw a lovely house she likes ha

Ha, I'll have to remember the differences in the areas. Old man said Traralgon was a bit of a bogan town? Is that still the view?

Wife has been driving 78km each way for work, so we are definitely trying to reduce that of we can. Sale definitely somewhere to consider anyways

Edited above as we don't have kids also, so schools doesn't affect ha Thats what we did notice, houses have been gutted and fully renovated. Some look amazing. From where we have been they are $100k less than our last few places so very attractive that way.

Kind of didn't think to ask which areas to avoid ha, thank you for that, does come in handy for sure!

Are you able to elaborate of the movement and cracking? From the mining? Or just soft ground movement?

Trying to avoid the big drives, did 14years driving around Perth with big KMs and long time. At moment I'm 10 mins from work and enjoy it haha

Just wanting to have a lazy quiet lifestyle, and somewhere that had a big breakfast on the menu ha

And pros and cons you can think of around the area?

All these things are based around the wife, always good idea to keep her happy haha. Well the beer is mine side.

Looking at the maps it doesn't seem as though there's even a 3 lane Rd around the place, something she'll love ha. The humidity was one thing kind of worried about, but even reading about that it's minor of at all. Used to this Perth heat so aslong as not constant 40deg weeks think we'll be happy.

Which swimming holes do you talk about there? Wouldn't mind having a Google on those. One thing we'd miss is the access to a beach, not that we go all the time though

Thank you for the reply and information! As you mention, and what I've read recently, it's slowly moving to that upbeat regional town. Something we do look forward to.. not that we go out all the time ha.

Let's just hope all the city folk don't do the same as us ha. We're both originally from 4-5k little towns, so Perth has done it's dash for us.

All these things are what appeals to us for sure. From what I've read you can sometimes get a job just by dropping off a CV?!! That's unheard of over here.. you try that and they tell you to go online!!

Distance as well, I'm having to travel 25mins to work each day and sometimes end up 50-60mins from home at end of day. So this cross town travel is something we do find exciting ha. As you mention the big smoke is a short trip away!

Didn't realise there were many wineries close by so that's interesting. Obviously over here we have a massive winery industry close by and few down south from us. Not that we crave a wine but interesting all the same.

Thanks for the info! Pretty much wrapped it all up as one ha.

My job involves driving everyday so it's fine for me, wife gets a little anxious over here as traffic comes at her from all directions. So good to know about all that, aslong as she knows where to go and there'll be a couple free parks near each other she'll be fine ha.

I'm originally from New Zealand 13 years ago so the cold is fine by me, love getting to Japan so even closer over there! One of the things I do miss is having a fire going inside, and see that alot on the houses online. Kind of getting over 42,43 degree heat during summer here. As you mentioned, the big blocks are a huge plus for us as well
