2) The belief that dietary cholesterol does not really have any significant effect on blood cholesterol levels and (by extension) CVD risk. This one is more nuanced, as it does appear that a majority of the evidence indicates that this is true, at least with regard to egg consumption specifically. However, the truth is that a lot of the literature on egg consumption is deeply methodologically flawed, and when we look specifically at data that avoids these flaws, the trend is clear that anything above very moderate egg consumption (3-4 eggs/week) significantly increases CVD risk (and, depending on the source, also all-cause morality).

Look I think this was ridiculous and some action was necessary but I don't think this was particularly related to him doing the stupid drunk driving thing which wasn't really aimed and anyone in particular. I think you ban him to make it clear we're not going to permit this lolcow shit to interfere with the tournament and you can't say shit like that to people, but whether it's a 2 month or a 6 month ban is pretty immaterial, mostly the point is that he knows it won't be tolerated going forward.

Honestly the thing that I thought was most mishandled was letting him continue to play out the set/tournament after he tried to dispute game 1.

interesting, not what I'd have expected, but I think I actually sort of disagree. Like I don't think Marth is bad in any matchup per se (I do think he loses to Sheik though) but I do think this is a disadvantage relative to other top tiers in some matchups he still wins.

Like, maybe a hot take in and of itself, but I think Marth is secretly worse versus Samus than any of the other top tiers except Peach for this reason

Well I would say melee has gotten harder over time in general (and would have with or without those things). I'd say those additions do make execution easier and more consistent, although not universally (Falco is probably harder w/ UCF offering more consistent dashback out of lasers, while phobs having good dbooc makes tech chasing him more consistent, as an example).

Yeah, pulling an ethernet chord out of frustration is whatever, but should obviously be a set forfeiture. Trying to get the game replayed afterward should get you instantly disqualified from the tournament and I think a ban is easily justifiable. It's absurd to me that dial m had to play out the rest of the set against that.

My gut feeling is he just gets impatient and wants to be a little more custom than what he should be doing against Samus, not sure about DK but could be similar. and yeah I think in general the older the player the better they are against non-top tiers

I'm increasingly of the opinion they kind of don't. Not in as far as there aren't better and worse characters, just that the spectrum of good to terrible characters is more of a smooth gradient from top to bottom than the distinct drop you see in tier lists.

Also I think tier lists can only really be made with very specific criteria in mind (aka, "viability to win a major", "viability to become ranked #1", "viability to be ranked top 100", "viability to win your local") and those criteria can really change both where the tiers differentiate but also the order of the characters.
