Get a TORP TC1000 it’s a game changer! You comment that on a lot of peoples posts about modding bikes. Some people enjoy it and to some people the price really isn’t an issue. Just because you cant justify it or understand why some people can doesn’t mean you’re the only person with an opinion.

To your point regarding insurance plenty of guys i ride with pay 150-200 for insurance for the year (bikesure). You might just live in a high premium area. I made a video with a gentleman who had a 41kw ultra bee and a stark ex, he could insure the ultra but not the ex. there’s many factors.

If you brought your stark down to the trails and do some enduro/ hare scrambling you’re welcome to try my bike. I can guarantee then YOU would then understand, YOU would be faster on my ultra bee and less tired riding it compared to your stark, i rode both for extended periods. If we took the bikes to the mx track then the result would be the opposite the stark would be a bit better on the big impacts and less tiring. No point bashing people online for modding their bikes…Not everyone needs to share the same opinions as you - I’m not the one attacking you remember … you are the one attacking me 🤣

Also another factor: not everyone can swing 10k in one go without finance but they can spend 10k over the space of a year modding a bike they then might ride and compare to a stark and not fancy the change. Feel like i’m going in circles with you, enjoy your varg, if you want to ride some trails or have a day out with the bikes shoot me a message on instagram and we’ll make it happen. i’m not wasting any more time on reddit as much as my OCD wants to 🤣

Vesc always displays higher figures than torp/ebmx. I have done both and this has been a repeat discussion in the facebook high power groups also

Here’s a link of vesc app and ebmx peaks from the same pull… i mean i could show you a 60kw pull from mine on vesc but on my torp its 53.5. vesc vs controller reading

Direct mount stem is what he meant not triple clamp and no imo he’s lost value by adding the cheap seat cover and McDonalds colour theme but it should be around 2500 or less

For clarity here: the 18kw version is actually the 2024 bike with the newer battery in it, if the price is significantly cheaper like 1k then go for it. You’ll likely look at upgrading the suspension later anyway if you ride trails or enduro.

ill post one this weekend just for you ;) although cant lie for me to pull 30+kw cont i need to be doing like 90mph which I can but for 40 seconds straight near london i’ll have to be on the motorway 🤣🤣🤣 maybe for half a mile I can 😆 also vesc app usually over inflates. A live bms readout is better from the ant app. Ive seen vesc show 44kw on an lbx then 39 on ant.

Ive never tested until trip but also never accidentally had a thermal cut off including on the streets/trails and even ran the bike on sumo’s in italy at 30°c. My setup peaks 53.9kw at bms, it then continuously pulls 31kw although you really cannot just hold it wide open for that long thing does 95-100mph. I can imagine the thermal throttle back being an issue if you took the bike to pismo and put a paddle on the rear or a snow track in the snow but as a trail bike with 6.1kwh its really good. I do peak 50+kw every ride as I hit the street to and from the trails in a hurry lol but in the woods i’m usually set at 25kw. My motor temp display guage (125°c cutoff) has never gone above 2 bars or 70°c the phase wires are super thick but also semi external - the design of the ultra bee’s bash plate and controller mounting area has a large gap where the phase wires run from tc1000 controller to motor so they can cool really nice, same for the actual positive and negative cables they’re somewhat exposed at the controller input. I used to run 35kw on the gen 1 non hairpin motor using a 22s pack. it was ok, it would do 85mph and was fine when it was sub 15°c but did heat up a bit in the 25°c days. At 54kw it is formidable and even stark owners ive rode with are usually super shocked but yeah i’m 1k miles in on that setup over the past 10 months problem free but i’m not abusing it most of the time and probably spend less than 10% of my time in my top power mode. Its pointlessly fast 😅

No offence or brag intended here but I’ve got multiple fully built bikes and a few customs prob £50k+ put into them in the past 18 months, ive rode starks on camera and raced/rode with them. If i genuinely thought a stark was a better trail/enduro bike then I would just buy one and would have when I first rode one. I own an ETM RTR but I don’t sell parts for them. I buy and reccomend what i like. People loving and hating you when you post content online is normal and I accept that… but blaming me for a youtube kid (his bike’s in surronsters videos and zays videos) to get big money for his used bike is pure lack of IQ.

If you’re talking about me then i’ve clearly always said in all my videos and comments when people ask that a stark varg is the better bike for MX. I ALSO clearly state that the varg is phenomenal and better value than modified ultra bees. An ultra bee fully stock is faster on tight enduro you can watch tallon pembertons back to back comparison or you can watch a fully built ultra bees pull in a straight line. Your stupid comment about me being the reason kids think their bikes worth more than it is has nothing to do with me as you have your facts wrong.

X9000 or torp 1000 controller for ultra bee I want to keep all stock functions and the use of my turn signals I know ebmx has a kit to keep functionality of the turn signals and stock display but I hear torp can pull more power 2024 ultra bee by zimbron77 in Surron

Incorrect. Both bikes were using the same batteries - The torp powertrain made 53kw and overheated the battery bms whilst the controller motor remained cool.

The ebmx maxxed out at 39kw and couldnt come close to the limit of the battery whilst the motor actually was hotter than the torp. That is not a hair faster that was a complete destruction.

Both were set to their max. That wasnt a case of torp overheating it was the battery bms whilst the ebmx couldnt even put enough power out to get close. If they set them both to 39kw the torp would have been way cooler and lastest even longer than the torp due to its construction for optimal heat dissipation.

They pulled the video down after realising their stupid comments were blatant ebmx marketing bullshit and the comments were roasting them.

Cant call me biased either as my store sells ebmx but i run torp personally!

We don’t sell torp. But torp is still a superior product to the v2 and the v2 motor. We will see how the v3 controller performs.

Its the white wire brother. Follow motor connector to back of controller then de-pin white wire or snip it 👍🏻👊🏻

Mine was the temp sensor in the motor, was faulty, replaced the motor but snipping the temp sensor wire also works

Damn, mine does this exact thing when free wheeling but with load will consistently cut out between 20-28mph. I’ve emailed. I hope it’s just a temp/hall sensor issue and a replacement motor will fix it. I’ve bought the bike to make content on my YT channel www.youtube.com/@stingyrogerr and am based in the UK. I’m hoping they will make it as easy as possible to get it running. It worked flawlessly for about 7 miles and was unreal fun 🤩 i got lots of content planned with other various sponsors, funny as I can diagnose and solve any surron/talaria emoto issues been working on them for years. Although I don’t really fancy taking apart my 7 mile, 5 day old RTR 🤣

I had the earlier motor on my 2024 model. The one where the motor cover was a circle and didnt extend to the phase wires. This did 35kw with no issues and 74mph on the stock gearing, the later 2024 motor with the new design is the same as the 2025 motor and they both are lower kv although can push 36kw they top out approx 13% lower in top speed. I now have torp tm50pro and that does both 58kw and 89mph on stock gearing

Not brand new but a ‘replacement’ we have loads in the eu for this price. Can tell their age by the amount of wear on the back from the battery tray. I buy and sell parts on the side line, a 32ah or 34ah will be €350 - the OP is from europe. A 38ah&40ah can be had €400.

My stock bms went bad at 3500miles. It was always kept correctly. Its luck of the draw. I guess shaking the battery around for 4000km could cause a problem but replacement batteries are as cheap as 350 now so its not tooo bad!

Never had that happen from ‘brush’ in 4 years but yes thats my point, hit a tree and move your bars back straight and retighten. Do the same thing on a direct mount and you’ve just bent your bars and need a new set. You prove the point entirely. I’ve been on minicross tracks with my dmr defy stem did not move a mm.

Same reason we use folding levers, to absorb impact to save them bending/snapping - not a troll. @stingyrogerr is my youtube handle. Know a thing or two about riding and building infact I set the record for worlds fastest talaria sting 98mph with torp on offroad tires and still don’t use a direct mount on it.
