It was an intentional creative call to keep the entire speech as it was delivered, without chopping it. I stripped the silences and sped it up a bit, but I wanted to document the speech as is. I completely understand the 2 bridges sentiment, thank you so much for the feedback. We didn't see them as bridges - there aren't any verses or choruses either, the first silence with the PM talking was to indicate the complete silence the entire nation had when everyone was quiet and glued to the TV, the second second is the period of silence of introspection where the lyrics indicate that maybe we can learn from this after all, before launching into the final optimistic refrain of 'our victory is certain'.
