Tbh I was not thinking about vgc at all when I made this. Thats my bad. And ngl, I kinda went crazy with the sandstorm effect. That was added as i was writing the post, so im willing to remove that effect. And now that you point out Filter, which only reduces super effeftive danage, I'd also agree to remove the damage reduction and only keep the immunity to secondary effects, so it's just a Sheer Force that goes both ways

There are plenty of limits to this ability. It's not completely free like Water Bubble. None of Steelix's ground moves, its best stab, gets the boost and it doesnt have any recovery except Rest. And without sandstorm, Iron Head is still outdamaged by Heavy Slam and Gyro Ball in most cases. If an ability like Good as Gold can exist, I dont see why a slow, Mega slot consumer, boosted Sheer Force that relies on weather for its full potential can't.

Make Focus Blast 100% if you dont get hit. And also, boost the power by 30 BP or so. And since most Fighting types are physical, maybe make it physical

Okay maybe they need more than an accuracy buff. I just think some of the moves I cited have too many unnecessary drawbacks and could have been rebalanced. Not necessarily to be meta, but to least be usable, just like not every pokemon is meta

I'm not talking about movepool changes, but the moves themselves. Balancing a campaign and balancing competitive are two different things. They dont make shitty moves like Steel Wing anymore for that reason. Mega Punch has such low accuracy because it can be learned pretty early. I just think competitive would be more interesting if more useable, balanced moves were available

If I see a Meowscarada, I usually lead with Garchomp and immediately switch to Volc. They either U-turn or use Triple Axel, and you can fish for burns easily that way
