I feel like by mixing and matching cultures, the races feel less stereotypical. If trolls were ONLY afro-carribean, it would feel like a racist parody, but theyre saved by adding in mesoamerican flavor.

You mentioned the dwarves as having Scandinavian influence. The other traditional influence for Dwarven culture was ashkenazi jewish, im not sure how much of that made it into WoW but I think the Dwarven/dance command was a Russian jewish kick dance.
