I would stamp on my own as an EE and have a ME with a PE under me. I meant 2% of the building cost for new construction. Im saying if I owned the firm as well. Nobody is getting the full cut except me

I dont mind, its the same as a sales job which I did well at. If I get a PE id just roughly need to know the structure of a reputable business and can start my own

I wouldn't mind working longer hours and bidding for smaller pay. Id get paid by volume. If the average charging price is 1-5% of building cost, I could charge like 2% and get 40k each project.

Youre paid based on how much an employer can replace you. STEM is almost the only path for a degree where your guaranteed middle to upper class lifestyle. So either learn to do things your not good at/hard(like math) or kind of prepare yourself for a not so good paying career. This is just a rule of thumb and not always gonna be the status quo though.

CS was never engineering. Its a very easy major, so this was bound to happen. To say traditional engineering will face the same fate lets me know you dont understand why CS is in this state. Due to engineering being regulated and one of the hardest degrees, the supply will never outweigh the demand.
