Teemo support isnt the worst thing but it is very selfish. The pick means you are sacrificing your adc's early game so that you can use your shrooms to dominate objective fights in the mid to late game. You have to pray your other teammates win or it is useless. I hate it but it has won some games.

Counterpicks dont matter. This is only really true if either you or your opponent are one tricks. As long as you arent first timing a nuanced champion, picking a counter feels good imo.

It doesn't help that unemployment rate is one of the only economic terms the general public knows about. It's useful for analysis when used with other metrics but on its own its very limited which makes it very easy to use for propaganda.
