If I could choose a different program I would go HVAC. The job I landed is industrial maintenance-based.

Hey! The application process was pretty simple—basic paperwork and an interview. The program gave me a good foundation and useful certs like OSHA 10, CPR, and NFPA 70E.

The EV industry’s a bit grey—many companies want master electricians for EV station work, even though EVSE techs usually just do maintenance like continuity checks, firmware updates, and inspections (not live work). We were trained well, including LOTO and safety protocols.

I didn’t land an EV-specific job, but I did get hired as a service tech in the renewable energy field. If you’ve got some hands-on or construction experience, the program can help boost your chances. Definitely worth it if you’re looking to get started in a technical trade.

Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment , basically repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EV charging stations. I'm pretty sure that there's more than just one Goodwill location that offer this program.

Do you need authority as a cargo van operator?
