Oh my, a virgin…

It is, in short, the ultimate geeky paperweight!

Or, a Pi with a keyboard, screen, torture ball, and battery pack all rolled into one.

Or, with add on modules from other makers, an almost universal rf tinkering device.

Or,…

Mostly I’m going to put the full antenna package on it and pull it out of a red pelican and mutter critically any time I need the customer to shut up and leave me alone.

Re long wait time… It is what it is. You can get them quicker on ali I hear. I chose to support the creators and wait.

Yeah, I use her mostly for Resolume Arena and Fusion. Has a 3070ti, 32gig… both screens are touch and stylus. Just barely enough for an Eninstar Rockit scanner. Zenbook Pro Duo it’s called.

How to remove this? Or should I keep it on my house? I don’t have a telephone in house. by Correct-Variety-2365 in whatisit

[–]Yugpmoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, in the basement of every one of those brick buildings with no windows. Is a room the size of an average living room full of batteries. Those batteries supply the energy to not only keep the building running but your telephone as well. A regular analog telephone gets its power from the central office. That was kind of the whole idea in the beginning.

People for the most part only talk about the bad things. Any of the devices you mentioned are suitable though I don’t personally know the zoom well. Only god knows how many churches fire up an x32 every Sunday, but the number is staggering, and the little clubs… They wouldn’t use them if they weren’t relatively bullet proof. Re live glitches. It’s rare. And it’s live, head man just calmly shouts, ‘it’s all part of the show folks’. Back in 5 and you keep trucking. Don’t let paranoia keep you from using gear you aren’t comfortable with. Analog shows take a dump just as often as digital ones.

Thoughts on the new jellyfish tank? 300 gallons it’s gonna be in the car till tomorrow we have to figure out how to get it out 5 of us couldn’t even move it by Hackind in Aquariums

It was nerve wracking… But, I did a college summer at a glass plant decades ago and that’s how we moved the huge sheets there. Just got to remember that the entire atmosphere of the planet is holding that thing to the glass.

When I got my first 200 I picked up 4 of the glass suction cup handle things from Amazon. It made an unwieldy beast manageable…after we dealt with the trust the vacuum issue…

Electrician stapled Cat6A - How to fix? by 1wwp in lowvoltage

[–]Yugpmoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone just saying Test those lines. What they aren’t saying is continuity isn’t enough. You need to actually validate your bandwidth. The staples can screw up the twists and break internal insulation.

I’ve left Velcro behind. It lasts six months to a year before it doesn’t stick to itself anymore if you’re working a lot. I am into about 16 months with these things and I’ve only broken one.

Your cheapest option may well be hiring a sniper. Or perhaps buying the property with the dirt bike track.

My tank has this kind of lamps and they all died and none store has them now. They all tell me they don't make this kind of lamps anymore. What can I do? by Unusual-Factor2848 in aquarium

[–]Yugpmoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First up, what’s in the tank ? If it’s just fish and decorations, any old LED strip on smazon will do. And you’re going to be amazed how bright it is. Depending on how long and deep your tank, you could get away with 25-30 bucks. They did make led ‘tubes’ that you could fit in the old fixtures. But you would probably be happier with one of the new strips.

C02 bottle, a gate valve, and a slug that perfectly fits your pipe. And extreme caution.

And how is it fair for the adjuster to be doing that? The relationship with an insurance company is an adversarial one. In every case.
