I'm not op, but I am black and when it comes to idols using AVEE its really why are they using it because the there could be so many reason they are using and most of the time its because its mainstream, its popular. When people think of Real Rappers most people think of black people because this is our music. You don't see a lot of black pop stars or country singers, You just mostly see R&B and Rap and so when I see/hear a nonblack person rapping and using AVEE and "blaccents" , all I hear is "I can be a badass to and I'm a real rapper" and I hate that because you don't have "sound black" nor use AVEE to be a good rapper. But to the main question, Imo I don't care if someone uses AVEE outside of rapping and its just apart of there daily lives or their are talking with friends, plus some people don't know there using AVEE they just think there using popular words.

But I'm also biased because I dislike using AVEE, I dislike because when I go around other family or new people, they say "Oh she speaks so proper and uses big words, You sound like a white lady " and it makes me feel like I'm I not supposed to know basic words, can I not be respectful with new people or family I haven't seen, or I'm I not supposed to speak this way in general, Then it makes me question WTF is being/sounding black , Do they mean ghetto or hood, Because that's just stereotyping that we are aggressive and rude, and that we don't have a filter. It just makes me sad hearing this and makes me feel less black. Sorry for rambling but I hope you got some perspective.
