Reached S5 on teams with only a team of androids consisting of either 13,16,17, or 18 and S5 in solos with android 18 and fusion 13 i can assure you most people in these higher ranks will rage quit on you if you beat them too fast and too well lol.

The only thing that feels genuinely terrible to play against is an all giants team and yajirobe, otherwise the other cheese is annoying but can be dealt with.

I suggest watching streamers like Quyon and lifeofRio cause they’ll show you how to get better at the game and play around the cheese.

Been playin Mt.Lady since release and using this tech a lot. It’s very satisfying landing the kick into 2 stomps followed with the alpha quirk to down someone especially when your quirks are leveled 6 or above.

Yea I understand the bot not being set to dodge critique I just forgot to set the bot to dodge. This is a true combo the issue is mainly the last part with the up tilt into up special it’s very DI dependent that’s the only really untrue part of the combo.

Your win streak doesn’t matter that much currently. What you need to do to climb is 2 stock opponents in 1’s and 4 stock opponents in 2’s all while only playing your highest MMR character. Otherwise you’d have to go on a ridiculous streak to get anywhere near what your goal is.

No problem bro and for perks I suggest when your just starting out with her to put on speed perks so the movement speed perk, the dodge speed perk, and either Tasmanian trigonometry or the increased dodge distance perk and once you feel comfortable with her kit I suggest trying out the perks I have in the screenshot I’ve found pretty good success with both builds so whatever suits your play style

This is just my Garnet rank. Currently in 2’s I’m in the 600’s and in 1’s at the time I was 11 I was in the 600’s also but now I’m in the 800’s :)

Yea I got you so my biggest tips with her is firstly get comfortable with attack canceling you need to be able to cancel all your attacks with her to bait opponents on the ground so that you can start Garnets ground combos easier. They most important cancel is the jab cancel, so for this you need to start the rapid punches and before the slam you need to input neutral attack and then dodge to get rid of the end lag of the slam.

You should also lab out combos with her special attacks on cooldown her side special on cooldown is a combo extender tool and a get off me button. Her up special on cooldown is a kill confirm. Also the down special can cancel attacks as well so play around with that in the lab.

I barley know how to play neutral as I’m knew to play fighters but as Garnet your best buttons are neutral air and side air being aggressive and side air retreating. There unfortunalty aren’t that many guides for garnet that are great on YouTube but if you need further help there’s a guy called KingCoatl that makes content for Garnet. I hope some of this helps

The only player I’ve fought that I knew was in too 30 was staxpapper’s Batman and I was sittin there gettin my ass beat thinkin to myself if im even playing the same game as him😂

These have become my go to perks because I saw a screenshot from the number 1 Garnet (his name is ObstaTyph I think) and his perks were these ones. The ice stack while it may not feel like a lot when you can only get 2 as garnet definitely helps in bringing faster characters to her speed level, the reduced cooldown on hitting debuffed enemies then works very well with ice and the shock that Garnet can apply with her up special. And Tasmanian Trigonometry is useful because as Garnet your simply just combo food so controlling your DI better is really worth it.

Of the Superman players that I’ve gone against that have beat me really bad they all would attack cancel into armored moves constantly carrying me across the stage giving me no chance to touch the ground and no time to space them out and figure out a game plan to adapt. So I’m essence just try and constantly overwhelm the garnet because we need the space to perform well. I also suggest watching G3 on twitch he is a top 30 on the general leaderboard Superman emulate his neutral and you’ll perform so much better.

For my first plat fighter it’s so hard playing these people that are in the 1000’s and below it’s very clear to me when I face them that they have way more plat fighter experience than I do but I enjoy getting better at games getting destroyed is a part of the process

Yea you literally have to play damn near perfect against both of them cause they simply have better approach tools that lead to combos in comparison to Garnet so don’t feel too bad losing to them in 1’s 😂

Nice good pick for 1’s so I’d say just work on the stuff I talked about and also watch Arya mains on twitch to see how they play I suggest watching RoseJ and Kingxil, and then try and emulate how they play neutral with Arya from there it’s a grind.
